Greetings fellow HG101 fans, if you've ever listened to the podcast you might be familiar with the criminals known as
The Great Klaid
and
KaL
I will be writing an ongoing saga that recounts the TRUE story of these two when they were a practicing private eye.
Here is the first chapter.....
On a fine summer Saturday evening, detective KaL and his beloved assistant Klaid were reading by the fire in their exorbitantly decorated lounge. KaL was always the intellectual and was reading The Collected Works of C.G. Jung, while Klaid read the latest funnies. A sharp knock on the door ended the peaceful atmosphere, and coughing was heard from the other side. KaL sighed, and put his book down. Klaid was giggling and didn’t notice the noise. KaL quickly glanced through the peephole, and in a bewildered fashion, did a quick double take through the aperture, for what he saw there will forever be etched into his psyche. It was at this point that Klaid realized something was going on, and wheeled over in his wheelchair. KaL, glancing back at Klaid, turned back to the door and reluctantly reached for the doorknob. Klaid inquisitively caressed KaL’s backside and asked “What’s going on honey?” KaL remained silent. Instead of speaking, he then opened the door and motioned klaid to the large object left on the doorstep. Klaid couldn’t really tell what it was at first. “Did you get a package?” Klaid asked. “Me hungry.” KaL furrowed his brow, and reached down to remove a blanket that was draped over the strange object. Underneath, was a small carriage with a softly cooing baby….
“It’s a baby!” Cried Klaid, who quickly made baby noises and peek-a-boo motions. “Yes, it’s a strangers baby, left on our doorstep. There’s also a note. Let’s read it in the Dining Room. They quickly transitioned to the Dining Room and set the baby down, still softly sleeping. “I’ll read the note aloud for you Klaid, unless you’ve suddenly learned to read in the last 15 minutes.” Klaid waited patiently. “Dear Detective KaL and friends, I’m leaving you in care of this baby for 3 days. At the end of these three days, I will return. This is a test. If you can extract the golden lamp from inside the baby, without killing him, you will be greatly rewarded. When I return and there is no baby or aforementioned golden lamp, I can assure you that you will not enjoy the small amount of time you have left on this planet.” Klaid only had one thing to say to this… KaL didn’t quite hear what he said but he thought he heard something about Super Metroid.
