While I'm not much of a fan of CV or Contra, I really, really hope that The Adventure Rebirth and Contra 4 are included in their respective collections. The Adventure Rebirth was a Wiiware exclusive, and since the Wii Shop's gone, there's no legal way of getting that game now. And while Contra 4 might present a slight issue due to the dual-screen business, I hope whoever's in charge can sort it out so it can be finally be played in Europe (yes, for whatever reason, Contra 4 never got a European release and that seriously needs to be fixed).

Haunted Castle has an awesome soundtrack. Sounds exactly like the kind of Synth music you'd hear in an 80's horror movie.

I might wait for a complete physical release of all these collections/volumes. Not that I expect Konami to do that, but I just love the massive, one disc collections from the likes of Sega. Capcom was pretty generous back in the day too, but their collections seemed to grow smaller and smaller with every new iteration...

I'd be surprised if they didn't add Symphony of the Night to the collection, especially because of the Smash connections. I wish, but not going to happen. If the collection was Switch exclusive, then yeah I could see that. But it isn't and they aren't going to include SotN in that collection when there's already Castlevania Requiem for the PS4 that includes SotN.

I too hope that one of the unrevealed games for the Contra collection is Hardcorps. Rebirth would also be good.
As for Castlevania, if Rondo and Symphony are possibily excluded, good choices may be Bloodlines, Chronicles, and the "Soma Duology".

It'd be nice if the DS games got a re-release.
The DS specific features were only ever simple gimmicks easily removed (I mean for Portrait and Order I think it was only using the second screen for the map and menu)

The problem with excluding Symphony is that there’s currently no official way to play it on the Switch.

SotN could be the original English version and dub, the PS4 bundle was based on the PSP version. It'd be nice if the DS games got a re-release. The DS specific features were only ever simple gimmicks easily removed (I mean for Portrai and Order I think it was only using the second screen for the map and menu) The site says "first" collection so later Castlevania games could be included. Dawn of Sorrow (which was the only one with unique touch use) had a mobile version that removed the DS features so it could be edited once more. I wouldn't want the mobile version, it was heavily downsized.

I actually had Adventure Rebirth and quite enjoyed it, too.

Would hate to see it removed too... I'm sure they can figure out a way. I hope people will understand why the DS games may not show up in collection form so soon. They need more than a straight port if they want to play it without a touchscreen.

Sisters mode is a little mixed I think in terms of dropping touch. Loretta's attack is not a problem as it's basically a beam. Map it to the right stick and that's about it. Stella's is a whole lot more touch dependent and having some kind of cursor mapped to the right stick would be pretty awful. Maybe it could be changed to a targeted attack with target cycling.

Got the Sega Genesis Classics collection for Switch today and looking on the back of the box it mentions a Rewind feature in it. Got thinking that the Konami collections could use that given how hard the games can be especially with Contra and the arcade games. Capcom did something like that for their Disney NES collection and (not entirely sure) the Mega Man ones.

Castlevania Bloodlines is included in the upcoming Genesis Mini, so good chance Konami is including it in the Castlevania collection.
