Yay, a topic about happy things got turned into a discussion about how awful and racist society is. Maybe you'd want to read my post more carefully, there was a lot more to it than that.

The "Nazi" debate should really be its own topic instead of being shoehorned in here.

Yeah, probably.
But I sincerely think that this was one of the better moments in my life (I prefer to keep the very best to myself), because it taught me something important.

That part was fine actually. It's just the rest sounded like too much of a downer, and to be honest "punching Nazis" has... connotations lately. But again would rather that stuff be in its own thread.
Anyway:
Great Moments in Life #14. Finding out Rugal Bernstein's Genocide Cutter has a huge weak spot and kicking. His. Rear. So good to beat that cheap SOB.

Being a part of this "fine" community, where most are even afraid of posting each others' screen name.

Yeah, there's a reason I barely spend any time here anymore and this thread is a perfect example why.
What, really, was the point in bringing politics into a thread that had literally nothing to do with it? To show everyone you're anti-Nazi? Really bold stance there, Kaoru, I'm impressed, wanna cookie?

I have to heartily thank both of you Bumpyroad and @gamergriff Great (hopefully recurring) moment in life 15: Finding out you're not the only one. A youtuber I watch mentioned that when she started, she honestly thought she was going nuts because it seemed like nobody but her saw the problem with certain mainstream attitudes. Then she posted and found out there are communities. It's something that I go through on a regular basis, especially on gaming forums.

Yeah, there's a reason I barely spend any time here anymore and this thread is a perfect example why. Wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't such a boredom it has become lately. It's all about facts, lists and "unpopular opinions"(which turn to be popular again as more people start repeating the same stuff ). Perhaps some are getting dividends for being overly serious and rational-minded here, but who knows.

Really bold stance there, Kaoru, I'm impressed, wanna cookie? Because it wass a pretty sweet moment in life But it's very telling, and knowing both your posting histories honestlty not very surprising, that you and edmonddantes are reacting so strongly to a flippant one-liner in a non-serious thread.

An exquisite meal, overlooking the sea or the city.
Having a whole row of seats to yourself, flying economy class.
A double shot of whiskey while waiting for your flight at the airport.
Back massage from the wife after a long day.
Getting paid extra because your clients appreciate and value your work.
A new single released from Twice or WJSN.
Being able to watch wild life (like deer, raccoons, squirrels) up close as they mind their own business.
Also, continuing the Conan theme: The open steppe. Fleet horse. Falcons at your wrist. Wind in your hair.

It was a pointless thread hijack, that's all. Of course you're going to interpret it as me defending Nazis or whatever, which I'm not.

And adding to the Conan theme--that the original Robert E. Howard books are in print again (okay, they came back into print like a decade ago, but still... I remember not liking the movies but then the original short stories were amazing... especially the ones that verge into being horror territory). They're also still cheap, unlike some other pulp magazine reprints.
That the entire Perry Mason TV series is on DVD now, even those bad made-for-TV movies.
Those times when you haven't studied Japanese in over a decade but then, looking at random screenshots in a video, find you still recognize some Kanji and can guess what is being said.

Gosh, now I'm remembering playing Wolfenstein 3D as a kid. On a comp with no sound. I used to control it with the mouse. Actually I played it again recently... it still holds up. But damn do the later episodes get tough.
I remember how my mind was blown when I went to a friend's house and saw Doom and Heretic.
I also remember how mind-blowing my first exposure to Daggerfall (the second Elder Scrolls game) used to be. It's kinda sad that these days I can't get into the series (they're still good, I'm just usually more into structured narratives than games designed around "freedom" that really amount to being able to do superficial, meaningless things like steal candles).
