And it's apparently by Terry Cavanagh, of VVVVVV and Super Hexagon fame. My goodness. Thank you for the info, lol.

Thank goodness for the preservationists. You know it's classy because the dirty language is from the letters of James Joyce to his wife Nora. (No, really!)

Not really familiar with James Joyce; apparently he wrote Ulysses? Hmmm. I wouldn't have made that connection myself, so thanks for the context.

Oof, that's fast. With a digital-only console it's going to happen sooner or later, but this is very soon.
I can only imagine what kind of a hell game preservation is going to be in the decades to come. I know it makes me anxious from a personal collection standpoint. Just look at the amount of titles these days that're only available on digital storefronts.

Did anyone care to preserve the Xbox Live indie games aka XBLIG games or the MS Mobile games on Vita though? I know all the PS minis for PSP was saved since they was just treated as regular downloadable PSP games on PSN.

Somewhat amusing (in a sad way) to think that preservation of modern gaming will be exponentially far more difficult than preservation of gaming from generations past. Did anyone care to preserve the Xbox Live indie games aka XBLIG games or the MS Mobile games on Vita though? I know all the PS minis for PSP was saved since they was just treated as regular downloadable PSP games on PSN. Umm... good question. I did download a small handful of indie games before the store shut down, like Protect Me Knight and Strange Tree Pleasuring. There were countless others however that may not ever see the light of day again, which I don't have. I'd assume there's something going on in the Xbox 360 homebrew scene to keep some of these games accessible, but I'm not involved in that scene, so I don't really know for sure.

Well Xblig used XNA tools which was used on games on all system at the time including PC so im guessing the code could be moved over to PC or 360 emulator. Most places just ignored the day XBLIG shut down. Thankfully this channel tried to record footage of alot of game trials but has so little views on everything. Finding a complete list will be next to impossible because of de listed ones and those one will be hardest to track down. www.youtube.com/channel/UCsCgWaWRrljujP1Oc9cIcHw/videosI did record full playthough of alot of them I own though most get very little views though yet the list video I did did really well probably because I was only person who thought of doing a video. It is so weird with the comments on that video people only remember the Zombie/360 avatar and Minecraft clones on the service and nothing else though.
