Granzella's Disaster Report 4 Plus is coming West thanks to NIS America. The game was originally in development for PS3 but unfortunately cancelled. The project was revived by Granzella, former IREM staff including the Disaster Report creator, and finally released for PS4 with a recent Switch version announced. NISA is bringing the game to North America and Europe early 2020 with an additional PC version option for fans. A limited edition "First Aid" Collector's Box will be available alongside a standard retail copy. The LE includes the soundtrack CD, ID Tag and a novelty "emergency" backpack. gematsu.com/2019/06/disaster-report-4-plus-summer-memories-coming-west-for-ps4-switch-and-pc-in-early-2020

Hey, I’m excited! I hope it has that same, slightly janky feel.

But there's no Disaster Report 3 or 2!
Yes,I know 2 became Raw Danger for the US and 3 was a PSP game. Why did Agetec call the second game Raw Danger anyway?

Agetec did this with other games before (Evergrace and Forever Kingdom, Magic Pengel and Graffiti Kingdom). Maybe they felt it wasn't that marketable as a series or they lost the rights to use the title at the time.

Yes, finally! I've waited years for this. Buying this day one in the hopes that we might get City Shrouded in Shadow next.

New interview for Disaster Report creator Kazumo Kujo. Here are some highlights: Niche Gamer: I know that Disaster Report 4 was in development for a while, then it was shelved when the earthquake actually happened in Japan. Why after how much work was done initially, did you decide to just completely rebuild it and add to it?
Kujo: The initial version was actually made for PS3, but the game itself, the contents and the further story, it’s still the same for the PS4. We had to take content that was made initially for PS3 and re-implement that, remake that for PlayStation 4 because the engine is different, and everything else is different inside. We had to remake it for PlayStation 4, and then we added on the VR features. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Niche Gamer: How much influence or interactivity players can expect just with the environment overall?
Kujo: It’s actually more based on the interaction of people. This time around, it might not be a lot of objects that you’re able to interact with as much as humans. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Niche Gamer: Would you – ever consider releasing City Shrouded in Shadow in the West if the Disaster Report 4 plus sold well enough? (laughter)
Kujo: Please ask Bandai Namco (laughs). Push Bandai Namco! (laughter)

I always wanted to play the PS2 original but could never find it anywhere.
I'd be interested in playing this.

I have owned the first two games and have yet to try them. I assume their survival horror.

Release date for this is April 7th.
I still have the first two games as well. They're very unique and it's hard to think of a series like these that have been brought over to the US. I am really hyped for this. But I'm also very indecisive. Like I don't know which version to grab. Really wish the 3rd one would get ported. I thought about buying it just to have it. But as a non-Japanese speaker it'd be a novelty more than anything.

Who knows, NISA could fund a port of the games if this sells. I may just get it on PS4, import impressions said it had framerate issues not sure how bad it is on Switch.

I'm excited about this and the fact that it's coming to PC. I wonder if the PC version has framerate issues too.
