At least you can still get the physical releases.

That's too bad, it was a good remaster.
The original is still available in the Disney Afternoon Collection pack at least.

Good to know! I might actually pick up a physical copy right away. I have it digitally on my 360 but I doubt I’ll ever boot up that console again. Which of course contradicts my need for a physical copy anyway, lol. But it’s one of those games that will be lost in history in a few years so it couldn’t hurt to own the disc...
That Castle of Illusion remake, for example, is gone, right? Can’t be bought anywhere? It bothers me a lot, and I didn’t even like it half as much as Ducktales (which was excellent imo!)

Actually, the Castle of Illusion remake was brought back only a couple of months after its delisting and is still available. It's a very weird situation, especially since there was never an official explanation given; presumably SEGA/Disney chose to renew the rights for a bit longer but nobody really knows WHY that happened.. Hopefully, something similar will happen here.

This was a pretty great remake. Though it's got wayyyy too much stopping the action to let the characters talk. I know they wanted to get their money out of the VAs but jeez.

Though it's got wayyyy too much stopping the action to let the characters talk. That was fixed in a patch sometime after the initial release. 'Course, if the game vanishes from digital storefronts forever, those with the physical release will never get that patch again. So it goes.

Is the physical release and actual physical release or just a Steam code in box?

X360, PS3 and Wii U versions come with a disc at least, not sure about PC.
