Yeah most of that was way too harsh. Like, the reprinting of games? You mention that there's no way for designers to go back and play old games, but that's the point of emulation, which was brought up in the previous paragraph. It'd be awesome if games were routinely reprinted, but ultimately it makes little to no business sense to do so.
And really, while I've ran into an astounding amount of morons on message boards and in video game stores, they're not confined to just video games. You can find idiots anywhere, with any interest. They're all obnoxious in their own unique way, but it's hard to say that one fanbase is "better" or "worse" than another.
The whole last point doesn't make sense. You might as well be scientifically proving that apples are superior to oranges.
I'd also keep the religious insults down to a minimum. Regardless of your feelings, bringing up either politics or religion in places where they're not appropriate is a transparent way to make it look like you're baiting your audience, which tends to weaken ones arguments.

Of all the points mentioned in the article, the one I feel most strongly about is the lack of reprints.
I have all sorts of problems with the idea that emulation nixes out the need for reprints. By that same logic, photocopies and bittorrent nix out the need to reprint comics, or the fact that most classic literature can be downloaded off the internet, legally even, negates the need to keep it in print. For many people this has proven untrue, and in the case of comics (not to mention pen n' paper RPGs, which also have a thing against reprinting their old material) this has even proven bad for business as both industries have gone through sharp declines (the pen n' paper RPG is all but dead now). Yet movies and books are still around and old material gets reprinted all the time. Funny that.
Moreover, the existence of emulators has done absolutely NOTHING to alleviate either of the problems I claim are caused by the lack of available reprints, just like pirated comics didn't stop people from be looking to manga for their comic book fix (and subsequently drawing inspiration from that as opposed to artists like Will Eisner, Chester Gould, and Jack Kirby--oh, did I mention that most modern comics fans don't even know who those people are?) and just like how the existence of PDF files of old rulebooks has done nothing to breath life into the currently-on-its-deathbed pen n' paper RPG industry.
I have all sorts of ideas as to why downloadable content doesn't have the impact it should, but I'm going to hold off writing it lest I end up writing a post that could very well be its own WOTBOG article.

It's only been up for a month, but I already don't need WOTBOG anymore.
As I said, half the reason I started the site was because I thought it would make games fun again. That part worked. However, another side was that I thought it would help clear my mental pathways so I could write that comic I said I was writing. In that regard WOTBOG did more harm than good since rather than giving me inspiration it instead became a distraction.
I'm also not happy with how WOTBOG has turned out. Almost the day it started it became less about being burned out on games and more about bashing gamers and the industry (as most of you have so duly noted). Granted I do think I'm justified on some points, but that's simply not what the website was supposed to be about and I don't like that that's how it is.
So between it being the wrong thing and it being a distraction I'm thinking I just plain don't need it. I've only written one article on it that I think really deserves a place on the internet (that one being "The Real Oldschool") but other than that I'm thinking of either deleting the page or handing it over to somebody else or letting it rot in a hell of no updates until Angelfire decides to remove it.
Unless someone has a better idea?

I'd say just leave it. Maybe someday there will be something you really want to write just to get it off your chest... you can put it there. Or maybe someday you'll be curious about what you used to think... I'm talking years from now.
But in any case... let us know what you're working on next. Good luck with it.
