No it wasn't an neither was that. Back on topic: For some reason I like Sonic 3 the most of all, and I actually like its look more than Sonic 2, which actually scared me off a bit.

These are the Sonic things I like and dislike (at least of those I've played or seen)
Like: All Genesis Sonic Games (Yes, even 3-D Blast and Pinball) Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 Sonic 3-D Blast (For Saturn) Sonic Chaos Sonic R Sonic Jam (For Saturn) Tails' Adventure (Not a Sonic game, but just putting it out there)
Dislike: Most other Sonic Compilations with Sonic games I've seen more times than I'd like to count (I DO like the Sonic Gems Collection though for giving me Tails Sky Patrol and Sonic the Fighters)
Most Game Gear Sonic Games (Like Drift, Labyrinth, Blast, etc.) Sonic Riders Sonic Shuffle Shadow the Hedgehog Sonic Jam (For Game.com) The Majority of Sonic Cartoons. Something I'm probably forgetting

Neomerge is my best friend, he lives down the street from me. We joke around like that. I dont know why people complained about the Sonic Adventure games, I really liked the first one for Dreamcast. I would probaly enjoy the 360 one also and Shadow the Hedgehog. If a game is fun, I like it.

If a game is fun, I like it. That makes a lot of sense! I like fun games too! I played sonic riders at gamestop once and didnt really like it that much because you really cant accelerate by holding down a button. Im not very picky about games so I might like Shadow the Hedgehog but Sonic for 360 looks just plain stupid. I really need to buy Sonic Adventure DX for gamecube.

Nights is a game I would rather have left as it is. Would you rather remember it's original, classic self for being awesome or have sega do some crappy-sequel and totally ruin the name?

There's lots of sequels to awesome games that Sega did that ended up as pretty damn good games, like OutRun 2.

Good work on not being a Spinball hater Vyse.
We all want to see a Wii nights, honestly to me it could be the worst game ever and at least I'd be able to sigh and say "Well at least they tried", Nights is terribly unknown now anyway so it's not a major loss from a financial point.
Ironically Sonic and the Secret Rings would probably have worked way better as a Nights game.

I think if we had more Sonic Rush games with just Sonic and Tails as playable characters, people would be really happy....

I liked the original Sonic cartoon, with Grounder and the chicken... On the other hand, I haven't enjoyed any of the 3d (or new 2d) Sonics for sometime... Adventure 1 was OK, but not exactly on par with 1, 2 or 3...

Yeah, I liked that cartoon for a good while too, but other than that one, the closest cartoon of Sonic that I like is the cutscenes in Sonic CD I just can't stomach the other stuff like the more modern Sonic cartoon, the one where Sonic had a brother and sister (ugh), etc. I think there was a cartoon with some girl called "Sally" or something. I think that was okay, but I don't remember much about it.

Actually the one with Princess Sally Acorn that you are referring to is the Saturday Morning ABC Sonic the Hedgehog. I consider it to be by far the best. I was a huge collector of the Archie Comics series based on Sonic and it continued the story of the SatAM adventures. It had dark story lines and it really wasn't as goofy as the one with Scratch and Grounder that was voiced by Family Matters' Julile White (Steve Urkel). Oh and the one with his brother and sister was called Sonic Underground and it's crap as is Sonic X and the Sonic Anime OVA (which is oddly a lot like the 360/PS3 Sonic in story and style).

Sonic Anime was pretty good, had a nice fight between Metal Sonic and Sonic (which is something we all want to see..constantly).

I just thought I'd break up this thread with a notion that the next game should focus on realism, as the following is actually a way cooler design than present-day Sonic:
