My friend had one when I was in 4th or 5th grade and I played it on a field trip. I have always had a love for obscure Handhelds but the only one I really own is probaly Game Gear. Now I have been looking into purchasing a NGPC in the next few months or so, and was just curious where I could purchase one of those bundles that were sold in stores for cheap. Also I will use eBay as a last resort since right now they only got a few and I kind of suck at bidding and it stresses me out. Also hoping to get my hands on SNK Vs. Capcom Card Fighters Clash and some cool Fighting games and a few RPG's. And does any one recall a game called Dive Alert? I remember reading about it in a Pocket Game magazine, It looked sort of like Pokemon from the screen shot. In the mean time Thanks

They aren't really expensive, though the bundles are pretty hard to find in "the wild". Did you check a seller on eBay called Video Game Liquidators (vglq)? He has numerous cheap buy-it-now bundles of Neo Geo Pocket Colors and games like Neo Turf Masters, Faselei, etc.
Here's a list of cool games:
Biomotor Unitron (One of the few RPGs on the Unit) Card Fighter’s Clash: SNK & Capcom Card Fighter’s Versions Faselei Gals Fighters (One of the few approx. 60fps fighters on NGPC) King of Fighters R2 Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny (Nice game) Match of the Millenium: SNK vs. Capcom (THE BEST GAME, imo) Metal Slug: 1st Mission & 2nd Mission Neo Turf Masters Ogre Battle (Japanese) Pacman Samurai Showdown 2 Sonic The Hedgehog Pocket Adventure
I heard about Dive Alert, but I heard it wasn't too good.

I have no clue where to get a bundle, sorry.
I have played Dive Alert, however. It is a submarine simulator/action game. It might be the slowest paced game ever made and most people strongly dislike it. I consider it ok, but would not recommend buying it.
I would recommend emulating each game before buying it. To be absolutely certain about a purchase.
Here are my favorites for NGPC:
Neo Turf Masters (golf game) Metal Slug 1st Mission Metal Slug 2nd Mission Samurai Shodown! (though ! 2 kind of obsoletes it) Samurai Shodown! 2 King of Fighters R-1 (though R-2 kind of obsoletes it) King of Fighters R-2 Gals Fighters SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millenium Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny Fatal Fury First Contact Magical Drop Pocket Puzzle Bobble Mini Shanghai Mini Cotton Fantastic Night Dreams Faselei! Densha de GO! 2 (BEST GAME EVER!)
There are others that are good as well. Hell of a console.

I got my bundle back in 2003 when I was visiting NYC. It was at an EBGames and costed me 80 bucks for the unit + 4 games. I also bought 2 more blisters of 4 games each at $20 bucks each. The games you'll get with these bundles are as follow:
Samurai Shodown 2 Sonic King of Fighters R-2 Fatal Fury First Contact Pac-Man Neo Turf Masters Metal Slug 1st Mission Metal Slug 2nd Mission Dark Arms Capcom vs SNK Match of the Millenium Capcom vs SNK Card Fighters Clash (SNK version) Last Blade
I don't remember specifically what goes where, but these bundles are preset and they always bring the same games. Except for the one that includes the hardware, I could only find 2 different game bundles. I looked everywhere in NY and Miami back then, because in theory (if I remember correctly) there's supposed to be 4 different game bundles. I never got my hand on the rest. I did ocassionally come across the same game bundles in later years, but very rarely. Also, as a curious note, my Sonic cart short-circuited the second time I played it and has never worked again. I am very satisfied with the system though.

As a guy who is a huge fan of the system, I have to warn you that finding a link cable is one of the most impossible things ever. I got lucky one time and got a fully boxed one but you can almost never find them. Otherwise, all the games everyone has mentioned are good. Match of the Millenium is amazing and it is one of the games that got me into 2D fighters. Card Fighters is awesome, too. Sonic is really a port of Sonic 2 rather than a new game but it is still really good. Finally, getting a bundle pack is a really good idea. You won't get boxes and instructions but you'll get a good mix of games and find some awesome games that you normally wouldn't try (Neo Turf Masters really surprised me as being great).

MOTM - Best game on the handheld IMHO Card Fighter's Clash might be a good investment, seeing how apparently the DS version is incredibly broken: www.siliconera.com/index.php/2007/01/17/snk-vs-capcom-card-fighters-ds-totally-flawed/From what I remember (haven't played it in ages and my friend who had it moved 2 time zones away) Faselei! is incredible. I'm basically echoing everyone else, but these are all good especially: Metal Slug 1st & 2nd Mission King of Fighters R2 SamSho 2 If you want something completely oddball, Ganbare Neo-Poke Kun is always interesting.

Yeah I kinda want one of these too. I played Metal Slug 1st Mission on an emulator once and it was badass. I also kinda want to get a Game.com because there really cheap and the games are just as cheap.

The number of good games for it can be counted on a single hand.

The only reason I want one is Resident Evil 2 for it even though it looks like crap, I still want it just to collect. Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania SoTN looked fun, too bad they were pulled.

You also have Sonic Jam and Fighter's Megamix for the Game.com. Plus the Light's Out game looks fun.

I was unaware that game.com had good games. Seriously, the few I have are atrocious, especially Resident Evil 2 (though I like the voice clip: Reshident Eviol!). I played it and the controls were so sticky and once a zombie got me, it's like I couldn't get them off and died every time. It's like they leave you alone at random.
I heard Mortal Kombat (Trilogy?) was okay though. Lights Out is for the very patient gamer. There are people who buy the dev kits for game.com on eBay. It would be interesting to see someone make more games for it.

I found Gameliquidations.com and they have some okay deals. When ever I get my job and some cash, I'll get one of these baby's and start my other game collection.
