You actually finished that too? I done that a good few years back on one of those multi-game gameboy carts of yore. I could never beat the retro version :\ I'm working on the retro version right now. The highest I've gotten was stage 8 or 9. Who knows, I might just be wasting my time. As far as I know, the original arcade game might've not had an ending and just kept going to 255 or something, and this might be a direction conversion of that.

I set out to complete the ps2 Prince of Persia trilogy this summer, and hence I've finished Sands of Time & Warrior Within in about 1.5 month. Now roughly 2/3rd into Two Thrones. Btw part 2 (Warrior) is universally perceived, it seems, as the weakest link- too little platforming, too much combat & too serious 'gothic' style. Having played through it, I severely disagree with all of that.. The balance between combat & platform action is staggeringly perfect. When you've mastered a couple of combos, fights can be over in a minute (in SoT a 15 minute battle is no exception) & platform puzzling hits off right where it ended in SoT- which makes this a difficult but immensely satisfying gaming experience. Also some of the artwork is jawdropping, and it all 'makes sense', no feel of forced-in parts here. Although bone hard at times, it never got frustrating, and when I finished it I felt a serious sense of achievement.
3rd part is weakest so far.. artwork & layout seems rushed, and the fighting engine is pushed back in favor of the speed kills. Those can be fun, but opposition is way too tough when you fail them & have to resort to regular fighting. Also platforming overall is easier, but some of the puzzles are frustratingly obscure (not difficult but hard to figure out due to wonky camera, unclear graphics etc). And the lame banter comedy from the first one (internal monologue from the prince, arguments with his girlfriend sidekick) makes an unwelcome return.
End of slightly off-topic rant! In other news- between PoP sessions I sped through the storyline of Bully & completed that one also. Quite an easy game actually (though better balanced than any of the GTA's), but great sandbox world- my favourite from Rockstar up till now.

My X-Multiply 1CC efforts were coolly wrapped up last night. It's one of my all-time favourite games, and I've done it a few times in the past, but it's amazing how quickly you lose your edge in memorize-'em-ups, hehe.

My hat's off to you klatrymadon. Such an awesome game. Incidentally, how much practice did it take? Was it an one-life? I'm asking 'cause I'm probably going to give it a go soon

Come to think of it, it was on one life! Cheers, mate. It only took a couple of weeks of practice. It's certainly not up there with R-Type II in the frustration stakes! You'll have the first three levels down pat in a few days, and the other levels aren't too much more methodical or heavy on unfair traps. Best of luck with your attempts, mate. There's not a lot of on-the-fly bullet dodging to do, so if you keep practicing it's a dead cert that you'll beat it.

I really don't count this kind of thing normally but hey- I've had one hell of a sleep deprived weekend thanks to working the early shift I finished the 3 Prince of Persia Mobile games. They all sucked.

Well as echo'd in a previous thread- I took out FFXII yesterday. Now I have a choice of Super Paper Mario, Shadow of Rome and Digital Devil saga...

I beat Rue's story in Threads of Fate/Dewprism last night. For as long as I owned that game, I have never beaten Mint's.

JetPac Refuelled those last few stages are rather tough still got to beat the retro mode got to last stage of it other night night on that though and no one seems to ever play online on it so I cant get 2 of the achievements.
And the other day Naruto Ninja Council 2 rather short but at least its better than the first one although it's a rather average game with a rubbish ending but I enjoyed it ill probally pick the third one up someday.
