Nice choices, surprised to see anyone remembers Drakkhen and Lagoon (though we had a thread on the latter not too long ago).

Great list, alltough it's to nes/snes/rpg oriented (where are all the awesome arcade/sega/PS/PC ending themes?). Some odball choices here and there, but I think it makes the list even better.

Well that flying omelette guy (or girl?) is very nes/snes retro.
I've always wondered about that site, it comes up a lot in google searches yet I hardly ever hear people knowing about it or talking about it. Their forums have over 3000 posts each, it must have a lot of fans or visitors to have that many topics on each of their forums.

Only thing I thought should've been on there but wasn't was "I Am the Wind" from Catlevania: SOTN. Well that flying omelette guy (or girl?) is very nes/snes retro. FO is a girl.

The forum dates back to around 1999, long before the site was created, and since they archive pretty much everything no matter how useless, I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the topics are from before the web site existed. Even if that's not the case, it's safe to say that most of the biggest posters there didn't discover the forum because of the site and aren't posting many topics in relation to the site. I probably have at least a couple hundred posts there myself from years ago. I wish I could have them removed, but ezboard is a horrible message board service and will delete accounts but not the posts associated with them.

Drakken blows, it has its nice weird moments. The sequel is much better, even if it plays nothing like the first one.

Bah. Drakkhen rocked.

Come on now, Drakken was awful. It had terrible gameplay, terrible collision detection, too many wandering around hoping to bump into something new and too many closed castles that didn't open when they were supposed to.
What Drakken did have that was good was some nice mysterious music, GREAT mood and some freakish enemies that got your heart pumping the first time you see them. The battles when the constellations in the sky turn into an enemy and fight you? Jeez, that freaked me out man.

I liked how if you walked your characters towards a body of water they would just walk into it slowly and drown.

Granted, I LIKE wandering and exploration (and the game has an automap, in any case) but I never noticed anything wrong with the collision detection. Personally, I wished the game was longer--that was my only complaint with the game: It ended too soon and was too easy.

Far too indicative of an RPG-dominated gaming background for my liking, but otherwise an alright list. Glad he squeezed CV4, Metroid and Starfox in there, but no Super Mario World? Surely everyone with a pulse holds it as one of the finest pieces of music ever to grace a video game?

Bah, after reading her list of "Overrated" games, this list of "greatest ending thems" makes a lot more sense.

Bah, after reading her list of "Overrated" games, this list of "greatest ending thems" makes a lot more sense. There are some pretty interesting choices on there. I actually agree with the first half of her list, the second half though has several of myu favorites on it.

My problem with it is that she confuses the term "overrated" with "games I had a hard time getting into".
