On a semi-related note, I thought that Boulder was a fictional place made up by Stephen King for The Stand... I'm honestly surprised that it actually exists!

On a semi-related note, I thought that Boulder was a fictional place made up by Stephen King for The Stand... I'm honestly surprised that it actually exists! It exists in the sense that it's a place you can go. I have kind of a love-hate relationship with the place - very naturally beautiful, but it stinks of the worst kind of uptight moneyed liberal juxtaposed with its bohemian American Buddhist roots. Cool to visit, probably was a great place to live 30 years ago, wouldn't live there now.

The artistic hippy look? Kinda reminds me of a Spin Doctors video. Weird as it is, it reminded me of the Spin Doctors' Two Princes video as well. Even weirder for me to cut my lurking spree by posting on a thread about posting pictures of your self with just... expressing my surprise about someone else also being reminded by Spin Doctors because of that photo. Maybe I should post a pic of me now that I'm here... nah, weird for such a lurker to go wild like that (and I don't have new pics of me anyhow).

Were you filming your own video? Nope, just performing live, some crappy quality video footage of that gig exists though. I always thought of posting something like that in the shameless self promotion thread. But well, I don't know how interesting something like that is for folks on here since it has some talking, depends on understanding and is entirely in german.......

I haven't cut or trimmed my hair in a month or two. It's also pretty messy in this photo, because I took it after getting home from being out all day. I'm feeling better about having my hair up now than I used to, though I'm still kind of working out how exactly I want my hair to look. I like the way it looks from the front, generally, but my sister is telling me that it looks awkward from the sides, so when I see her again in a couple weeks, she's going to work out with me how I can possibly start wearing my hair instead (which will likely involve growing out the sides further). All things considered, the main consideration I have with my hair is that I want it to not all be the same length (I had that in high school, and disliked it), I want it to be kind of puffy/curly/shaped/whatever so that it's not all going straight down, and I want it to look kind of like anime hair, lol. So, in the meantime... what do you all think? Cute!

So it looks like you're growing it out in the back while keeping it trimmed on the sides and front? I'm assuming this is how your hair naturally looks, that being the case, it seems to grow exactly like mine.
It'll likely become a 30 minute daily chore if you grow it out (which is fine by me 'cause I think long hair is awesome, but others have shaved for this reason alone) You'll also want to be careful about what you wash your hair with as some products (like TRESemmé for example) have actually caused damage. I'm sure this is all really obvious to you, but I dunno how long you've grown your hair, so figured I'd point it out anyway.
Putting that nonsense aside, it looks good from this angle. Consider your anime look achieved. I've never been creative enough to do a whole lot with my hair, so I'm jealous you found something that works for you.

I took some pictures earlier today with my hair down this time, for comparison's sake, and I liked this one so much I decided to make it my Facebook profile pic - I've basically been trimming the sides/front for the most part, though occasionally I trim part of the back too. I don't really know a ton about hair, but I guess this would be considered "layered" hair? Either way, I like it I also don't put a ton of stuff in my hair; I wash it with Pantene Pro-V about once a week, and that's about it.

Bangs look pretty on girls, but for guys, they turn into a mullet. Oh well. I'll just hold out for that 1980s comeback and hope I'll have enough hair left by then.

I actually asked a friend of mine if I should rock the Escape From New York doe; she gave a most definite "no". Oh well. Here, this is what I settled for instead (crappy Skype snapshot):
