It hasn't been cracked because there was nothing to crack. The naomi bios had no real protection. Also, the dude in the NGemu forums is just using the Dreamcast Hardware to run Naomi games using the bios.
Elsemi's emu (Chankast) did that 4 years ago, it's just that for some reason it got covered by Kotaku and now everyone thinks it's the next big emu news, like CPS3.
The reality is that real Naomi emulation is right there where Model 1, Model 2 and model 3 are, struggling.
Here's an excerpt from the NullDC author that "cracked" Naomi: "Uhm, that info is slightly missleading, there was no cracking (or hacking) of the bios at all, i just had to edit some (small) parts of the existing code to get it running (and as i said before, nullDC isnt the first emulator to do this, chankast had done it quite a bit ago too)."
And here's a quote from Richter Belmont who is working on the real Naomi emulation for MAME:
I'm not sure what's stupider, the actual article or the commenters. But just to spell everything out:
1) ElSemi had Naomi games running several years ago in Chankast, and his info was essential for both MAME and nullDC to get anywhere 2) MAME is currently the first and only publically released emulator that does anything with Naomi 3) No "cracking" of any kind was involved. The BIOS is not encrypted or protected, and the early-model games at least have a simple protection device that returns a text string when queried

Edit: This needs work, man. Seriously, too many guys working on custom textures for N64 and shader effects for Pete's Plugin and too few guys working on NAOMI.
