www.hardcoregaming101.net/langrisser/langrisser.htmWith the new translations available and all, I started to read the Langrisser article at the moment, but there's a character description I can't unterstand. It may be because I lack knowledge of an english word, but it might as well be a typo. It's this one: Tira/Tiberon A powerful ex-pirate that tossed away his pillaging aways allied with Redin's faction. Also in the system list to Langrisser 2 / Der Langrisser, the SFC is missing.

Yeah, you got it. That should be "pillaging ways and allied."

I'm surprised that the PC remake of I didn't get a mention at all. Sure, it's basically the same as the PSX and Saturn version, but still... <.<

Probably because I knew jack all about it.
If it's the same, then yeah, it's worth a bit of lip service.

Under the Langrisser 3 section, it lists the game as for the Saturn, PC, and Playstation 2 platforms. Also, not a typo, but what in god's name were they thinking with those Warsong portraits? Everyone now has that incredibly creepy smile. All I need to do is make a zoom-shot and I could make a 4chan meme out of it.

Um, that's actually correct. Langrisser III received a slight remake for the PS2 and was never released on the PS.
If you want typos, I was looking over the Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting articles again and they have quite a few. I can go over those if that would be helpful.

Oh, my bad. I saw all the other ones for Saturn/PSX and assumed it was a typo.

But yeah, Langrisser 3 saw a small release on the PS2. They actually covered up the artwork a bit, but I never got to play it, since it never dropped in price and I never bothered to buy it.

Pretty much sums up why I didn't buy the PS2 version myself - it cost more than I was happy to pay, and by the time I looked again it was sold out. Not my biggest gaming regret though

Long as we're pointing out typos, I found one while reading the Sin & Punishment article, right below the character bios:
Plus, while the visuals are generally pretty fantastic when you're actually playing it, the angular, low polygon character models just can't accurate portray Yasushi Suzuki's artwork.

I am a big fan of the Growlanser series and I read the Langrisser information, but there is one weird thing.
I am not quite sure and I do not know if I may create a question, but is the information regarding the developers of Langrisser IV & V false? ( regarding Quick Info) The developers of Langrisser IV & V are Career Soft not NCS/Masaya. Career Soft created Langrisser IV & V. After that, Atlus bought Career Soft and the guys from Career Soft started to work for Atlus, even today (for example: Yoh Haduki, Mitsuru Hirata, Shinjiro Takada) Their first game after Langrisser V was Growlanser 1, if I remember correctly.
Yours sincerely

Finished the English patched PC version a while ago, which was my first experience with Langrisser. I quite liked it, I'd rate it a bit higher than the original Shining Force and maybe also Fire Emblem Gaiden, which are the oldest SRPGS I played and finished so far. I assume the PC version has been updated compared to the original Genesis version though (max. soldiers 6 instead of 8 for instance.)
I don't know if this was due to the English modifications, but the game was quite unstable and difficult to get to run. I had to go into dxdiag and turn acceleration off (used Windows XP).
Another thing I found notable was the number of F-Bombs in the script. In fantasy settings, this strikes me as odd. I'm neither a native English speaker nor familar with Japanese profanity though.
