Quick question: Would anybody be against me covering any of the Atari Games arcade games? Like Marble Madness and Xybots, and such? I realize that's a bit broad, although I'd skip over the licensed games. I'd also like to claim Archon, too, because that's been on my mind for a while. I'll even do Unholy War and... uh... this, maybe. Haha! That's the game Unholy War morphed into, right? Yup! I tried it out once last year alongside The Unholy War for comparison, and it's a really weird one. For instance the whole game has this cutesy look and feel to it, but you battle the monsters and stuff not only from TUW, but from both Pandemonium! games as well. And the music for the battles is this really grimdark stuff, which I presume is also from TUW. And while not necessary, it'd be neat if someone was able to get some stuff from Fred Ford and/or Paul Reiche III about those games.

I would like to write an article about the horror RPG The Legacy (AKA The Legacy: Realms of Terror). I recently managed to contact one of the lead designers of the game and he is willing to answer questions about the game.

I've written an article covering a Macintosh obscurity called Hikaru-Hana. It's barely even interactive though, so I don't know if you could actually call it a game. I'm not sure what HG101's stand is on that kind of software, but I migh as well try and propose it anyway. You can check the french version here. I'm also currently writing a review of the first game by Haruhiko Shono (of Gadget fame): Alice, an Interactive Museum. It features mind-boggling erotic/visceral/surrealist art by Kuniyoshi Kaneko, and the idea of exploring a nonsensical museum is kind of interesting. However, the game is veeery outdated, and it's humanely impossible to complete it because there is no save feature AND there is that one room where the riddles are casino stuff - you get the picture. Worse than DogDay, really.

I was actually reading about those spinoff titles, I got a Japanese Gameside issue that mentioned them. I guess screenshots is as close as we can get - 4Gamer or one of those Japanese journalism sites might have some. If worst comes to worst I can just scan the page.
It was a cool feature, a whole rundown of female characters from the 8 and 16-bit era, most were pretty unknown.
Also, I THINK Momoko ended up in that overhead shooter Game Tengoku. All of the characters are from other Jaleco games, but I'm not familiar with any of their titles - I only know it because the attract sequence spells it out.

She was, and her bomb attack showed her at different ages (and in different "fetish" outfits). Here's a nice site talking about it: gaminghell.co.uk/Momoko1203.htmlSpeaking of Jaleco, what was the story on Ginga Ninkyouden? It had license notices for Sunrise and some other studios on the title screen, but did they actually get the licenses for all of the anime/live action character cameos and references? It all comes off as very unofficial.

Yeah, I got the Game Tengoku cameo, but that link showed me the pics that flash during her bomb (it flashes so fast you can hardly see it in game if you focus on the bullets). Some of the promo mobile screenshots are posted online, so I have rips/edits of those JPEGs. The site I got them from doesn't specify if the bowling game is strictly Momoko 1200% or a Jaleco girl cross-over bowling title of its own. I do know one of the minigames has a subtitle named "Machigaisagashi".

Thanks, that site and some tinkering with the wayback settings found out the titles of the 3 Momoko mobile releases and the fact that at least the first game came in segmented chapters: Momoko 1200%, Momoko 1200% in Spot the Mistake (the puzzle one), and Momoko's Mars Bowling.

Hey. I just wanted to pop in and say that I have written 1000 words so far on an article for the Sega Genesis game Gadget Twins, published by Gametek and developed by Imagitec. The main designer, Nigel Cook, went on to work on many games, including Turok... but he's a receptionist at a dentist office now, apparently. The article is about 40% complete; I think the full thing will be roughly 2000 words, give or take a few hundred. I haven't played it in a while, but I remember enough about it and have a strong enough opinion on it that I have filled out a great deal of the "heart" of the article. I've also done preliminary research on its somewhat interesting development history. I plan on finishing this article sometime within the next 7 days. I'll keep this post updated. 06/02 UPDATE: Intro - Done Story - Done Characters - Done Gameplay Mechanics - Done Powerups - 50% done Level/Boss Descriptions - 75% done Development History - Basically done. I'll try and track down some more stuff, perhaps get a quote or two from specific individuals that I know worked on the game. Conclusion - Done Screenshots - 75% The article will be postponed, somewhat. My power supply died, and although I've ordered a replacement, it may take 5 days to be delivered. I was an idiot and didn't back the article up via skydive or whatever. I may start from scratch, but I've got midterms this week so that's unlikely. Regardless, I expect the article to be finished by then end of June. Good news is I recovered all my data, article included. Better news is I built a new PC and it's awesome. Mixed Good/Bad news is that I now have a 40 hour a week full-time job, a 30 hour a week part-time job, and I'm a full time student. I graduate in January, and my part time job's hours will decrease to like 10 a week after the holiday season, so I'll have time to finish it up then. I'm looking forward to it, too; Gadget Twins is pretty swell. Good thing there's no real deadline on this article; I'd be screwed.

Okay, I've thought of starting to write some articles for the site. So far I'm thinking of doing an article about the Pinball Hall of Fame series (and perhaps do a bit about The Pinball Arcade on said article) and an article covering Gaelco's two similar games Radikal Bikers and Smashing Drive.
May start working on either of them now.

Finally got around to uploading my brief article on the 1987 MSX games Jagur, also called Jagur Six or Jagur Golden Triangle. I was wondering if there'd be any interest in reworking it to feature on the site as it is a really interesting and, for the time, novel game from Hudson Soft that I don't think most people have ever heard of. plaingamreviews.blogspot.cz/2013/12/jagur-golden-triangle-1987-hudson-soft.html
