hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/warlords/warlords.htmThis is the classic Atari title, not the PC strategy game series. I'd heard of this title in passing before, but I'd never really played it up until this morning. I grabbed the Atari Revival which has a remade version on it, which other than the graphic obstructions mentioned in the article, is pretty fun, even if the AI is easy to outwit. I wish the 360 version was better, it looks like it'd be a lot of fun with four players.

You need to play this with other people to really appreciate it. The A.I. is just too stupid to really get 100% out of it against the CPU.

Thanks again for getting those great images and adding the extra info. I was quite proud of my article as is, but yeah, there were some limits to what I could cover on my own. and ZZZ, I totally agree, I never appreciated this game until earlier this year, after reading something in Tycho Brahe's blog about the warlords/boom blox connection, where he explained the psychological side of the game. www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/6/9/

Not sure if this is worth mentioning, but there's a tribute to this game in South Park: Chef's Luv Shack. It was one of my favorite minigames, as it was pure insanity with three other players.

If there's a way of shimmying it in there, I'm down with that.
edit scratch that. It just opens the floodgates for a lot of other cheap spinoff versions of the game. I was initially reluctant to even mention airburst for this reason, and included it only because it's quality set it apart from other knock-off versions.

I think you need to use the word "also" less.

Perhaps.
Truth be told, I run out of conjunctions about halfway through anything I write, and I really hate not being able to connect ideas to one another, and using "additionally" instead would have read very poorly.
