Cheesy as some of those character musics are, they're actually pretty damn good. I especially like John Tanaka's theme, because it sounds like a C64 SID chip. Hehe, I think I know what you mean. Anyway, my three fav's are Leon (cat man), Billy (monkey boy), and Princia (hottie). Flash Man's theme is also one of my serious, you-can't-fuck-with-this, all-time favorites. Have you heard the Project X version? Haven't heard this project X version no is it as awesome as the original? There a few songs in that game worth funking out to- even Clash mans for pure goofy value How did I not suggest "Just do it" from the original Command and Conquer? I love that track

Yes, Project X seems to be fan-made, I've gotta try out one of their tracks. But ripping from a NES game kinda is a waste, especially since you've got the NSF file system.
I checked, those're remixes, I kinda don't like video game remixes, it kinda spoils the nostalgia feeling, which is generally what I want if I ever listen to video game music, except for maybe admiring some masterpieces like: That one song with the bridge from FF5, it's just so well composed that I don't even know what to say anymore!

Yep, Project X is 100% fan-made. I love both title screen covers, as well.

Actually, only 50% fan-made, they didn't compose it themselves, they're just re-acting it with better instruments.

my reason for not downloading so often is the crazy gamespy/ign/fileplanet login. I am set up for the free server, but I keep forgeting my password and keep having trouble getting to the login area where the trial account works.
The Mp3s are usually awesome, so just blame fileplanet.
My computer has also been busted for some time now, it's currently in the shop. so it's public access for me.
