By the way, do the splash images for these 3D remakes have the Genesis logo on the US eShop like they do with the Mega Drive logo in Europe? If that's the case, then it might deserve extra stressing that they're NOT based on the genesis versions.

Ecco, Sonic, and Altered Beast do; Galaxy Force II, Super Hang-On, and Space Harrier don't.

OK, must be a mistake the European division made, then.

Regarding the article's translation: Overall, it's very good. Minor comments would be just me nitpicking, and I'd like to see more articles get the same treatment. Could we get some more info on the translator?

Someone volunteered to translate some articles into Spanish recently, so pretty much just that!
There's some Chinese website that existed at one point (dunno if it still does) that had some HG101 articles in Chinese as well.

Looks like Planet Harriers might be running in Demul now. Or is that where the screenshots are from?

It is! I discovered that after I posted this article. These are old screenshots, but I'll be putting up proper screencaps when I get the chance.
It's not QUITE perfect - either it runs at a smooth rate with messed up sound (and some missing textures here and there) or with proper sound but at half speed, depending on the version of Demul.

Hello everyone! I'm the guy that translated the article. I hope the translation is not too bad, 'cause I'm no way a professional translator. I've just submitted the Hang-On article in Spanish and I am right now working on the Altered Beast article.
A side note about Space Harrier: I think the author was way too harsh with the ZX Spectrum version of the game. Having played it I have to say that, despite the horrible colors, the port is great! The scroll is fast and the scaling animation is not too choppy (as a matter of fact the scaling of the objects looks smoother than on Space Harrier II on Genesis). Some emus allow the player to use the game on black & white, and without the eye-straining colors the game looks considerably better. And, the more amazing thing, they managed to get Space Harrier running pretty decently on a Z80 processor at 3.5 Mhz with only 48kb of RAM!!!!

Gonna post some interview translations I forgot to post in the forums. Here's translations of a collection of Space Harrier interviews from the 30th Anniversary Book. shmuplations.com/spaceharrier/
