hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/vantagemaster/vantagemaster.htmI decided to get back onto covering some more Falcom games, so here's Vantage Master. I originally got onto this series, like most Falcom games, with the music. The soundtrack to VM Japan is beyond fantastic. I finally got into trying the games themselves and...honestly, they're not really my cup of tea. I normally dig tactical RPGs, which is what this is, but it's just a bit too focused on elemental weaknesses and such. Plus, the AI is bitch hard. Maybe against a human opponent it'd be a lot more fun.

Yup, she's mentioned, along with like a dozen or so other cameo characters.

Nice article! I love Vantage Master, but I really do suck at them I didn't spot it in the article, so here's the link to the English version download if anyone wants to try it out - www.falcom.co.jp/vantage/index_e.html

Don't forget to attribute VM Japan with the PS2. I actually have the PC version of VM Japan. I think these games start off really well but the scenarios get too overwhelming. I see it appealing a lot to Military Madness and Advance Wars fans.

Okay, just tried this game. Played the first two stages on Easy mode (I'll work my way up) and it seems really cool so far. The only problem is that the physical story parts don't display right. Were those not translated or did I screw up? Anyway thanks again for the article, now I have more wastes of time to play! *Laughs*

I've never got those parts to display correctly (either in Japanese or translated English) either, and I know a friend who played it through was the same. It just seems to be an unfixed issue, not something that you're doing wrong.

Hi. First time poster, though I've read most of the articles over the past few months.
I'm a little confused by the Legend of Heroes 3 link in this article. It doesn't seem to be linked to anywhere else on the site. It's certainly not on the main page, and it doesn't seem to be linked to from the other Dragon Slayer articles despite sharing a header. Is it new, or is there a story behind this that older forum members might know, or is this just a simple missing link?

You've stumbled upon a HIDDEN SECRET.
Well, no, not really. It was actually a work in progress I abandoned about two years ago, but will be completing sometime within the next few months. It's kind of an unofficial preview. If you look around old links here (or just futz with the URL) there's an article for LoH 4 too. Please look forward to it!
