www.hardcoregaming101.net/moonwalker/moonwalker.htmThe Genesis version of Moonwalker always amused me, mostly because everyone assumed it was an awful piece of garbage, and it's actually kinda pretty okay. Not amazing by any standards, but it's better than most early Genesis titles. Plus the concept is hilarious. Also, I never knew they made all of those computer versions. They are terrible beyond belief.

I remember seeing Moonwalker at local restaurants/arcades as a kid, I never played it though. I felt like my limited supply of quarters wasn't worth a MJ game so I usually chose fighting games instead like street fighter2/samurai showdown. I do not regret my decision.

This currently and for the rest of time has the title of most f'ed thing at HG101. Cho Aniki is way more bizarre. In my book, a mega celebrity rescuing little kids and beating up gangsters, robots, attack dogs, and zombies with pixie dust is nothing compared to buff, scantily clad men shooting at many varieties of other buff, scantily clad men. That, and nobody would question my sexual preference if I were caught playing Moonwalker.

Oooh, a Michael Jackson's Moonwalker article. I wasn't expecting this. Nice. Like normally, here's all the mistakes I could find:

Waitaminute, waitaminute... Thiller is actually in the Genesis game? Honestly, I never got around to hearing it... is that what plays in the final battle against Mr. Big? Props to David, as this is a fine article indeed. HOOOOOOOOOO!!! ;D Also, one more typo here: Everything is viewed from an isometric perspective, with three player simultaneous gameplay (players two and there are different versions of Michael Jackson in red and black suits, respectively.) "There" should be "Three" there.

It's not a "main" song - I THINK parts of it are played during certain dance numbers.

It plays during the dance number in the graveyard/forest stages. Thanks! For the most part, I wrote about the Genesis version and a little bit of the arcade version. Kurt did most of the stuff for the arcade version and the awful PC versions, so props need to go to him too. All the typos were made in Kurt's sections. Bwahahaha!

Ironically, whenever I edit anything, I usually end up introducing even more typos into the mix. I guess I rock like that.

Ah, now this is another game I really should get around to adding to my Megadrive collection. Back in the day, one of my cousins had this game, and I was very jealous (Well...that was mostly because back then I only had a Commodore 64, while this particular cousin had both a SNES and a Megadrive. She was very lucky ) This also reminds me of an amusing situation, involving Micheal Jackson and games. A few years back me and my little sister were at a theme park called Luna Park, and we saw this simulator ride. It had a long line, but we waited for it anyway, because it looks cool and most rides had long lines anyway. Upon getting in, we saw that it was equipped with these little guns in front of each seat, fairly unusual for a simulator ride, so you could play a shooter game as the ride was doing its thing. Anyway, when the game started, Micheal Jackson came on the screen, and me, my sister and all the other people in the ride started shooting him. Just the fact that everyone in the simulator did the same thing as soon as MJ appeared on the screen always struck me as amusing (I have no idea what the ride was called, but it was worth the wait...though not good enough that we wanted to wait in line a second time)

That's one of the coolest things I've heard in a long time. I wonder if he's going to make a robot based off his loved design or his hated design. I giant black michael shooting lazers and protecting the city of Vagas? Or a giant white michael, wandering the desert having been exiled from civilization, striking down any who cross his path.
Either way... it's still pretty bad ass. I think the white one will invoke more fear.

Yeah. And imagine if a hacker takes over him and fries Vegas for good. Awesome. A self-destruct sequence would definitely be a must, and electric fences so ppl don't get near it. Hmm.... maybe area 51 would be a good site to test it...
