While this topic is up I suppose it's worth mentioning the upcoming PAL localization of Fever (renamed "Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise" according to GameFAQs), which will apparently include both the Japanese and English versions of the songs (not sure about the Manzai game though).

The article is listed under the "individual games" lable, which had me confused when looking for it, since the series has already spawned 3(point five) games. Took a while, but this is fixed now.

Sorry for the necroposting, but I stumbled upon this article the other day and noticed that the second half of page 3 is copypasted from the 2nd half of page 2, basically the Rhythm Heaven for Wii article ends with the summation of the DS Rhythm Heaven. I know it's late to fix it, but still it feels weird.
Also, I somewhat miss the more personal (and sometimes blunt and/or sarcastic) style of the very old pages as opposed to the more neutral tone of the present site. But then again it's no use going back to that now.

I gotta say, the new 3DS Rhythm Heaven Megamix is one heckuva game. It's too bad the premium pricing will probably turn off a lot of people from trying it, but it might actually be worth the money. Many times on the Wii version I bungled through the tutorials multiple times before I finally figured out what was going on, so it's neat how they've made it easier to learn the rhythms and keep the beats – and then compensated with challenges obliging you to keep that rhythm more tightly than ever before.
My biggest concern is that I only got about halfway through the Wii version, and I never even started the DS version – and I don't know if I will be able to go back after this.
It might be worth mentioning the Smash Bros cameos in this article as well, I suppose (clap clap hoo-wah).

I've played the GBA original (via flashcart) before buying the Wii game for super cheap then going DS. DS really doesn't fare as well playing with a stylus and doing those swipes. It also doesn't have as good of a vocal localization by sounding so corny and oddly sung at times compared to the Wii game. The only big fault for the US Wii version is the lack of dual audio, but at least the 3DS fixes all that. I believe the only major issue with the 3DS game is that it can potentially lock out a lot of content if you aren't good enough at perfecting songs, since that's the only way to earn enough of the unlockables, including the special WarioWare cameos.

You're supposed to play the DS game with your finger, not with they stylus. Like you're flicking a pea off the table. That really makes it 10x more easy (and fun).
