7z is a compressed file format. Download 7-Zip and unpack it.
I have an ISO lying around here with all three games for the PC on it, but I never tried it.

Says it's invalid. Maybe I need to combine the five files somehow?
Also, an HG101 writeup on the games would be rad, but I've never played the first properly(which I hope to correct soon).

Try Filesplitter. It splits files and will list them like what you have. Once you combine them, it should show as just a .7z that you can unpack in 7zip
Note: If you can't find Filesplitter, let me know what download server you use and I'll pack a copy up for you to try

Yeah, that seems to be it. I used hjsplit.
Unfortunately, it's an .iso. I guess that means I have to burn it to a disk?

Glad it worked. Sadly I don't know much about emulating ISOs outside of Mega CD and maybe Playstation, since my machine laughs at me and goes "No way!"

Well, it's a PC program(I think), so I wouldn't think I'd have too difficult a time running it.

if it's an .iso you can download daemon tools. it functions as a virtual drive so when you mount the iso file it essentially creates a virtual cd. watch out, though, it tries to dump junk and get you to change your web broswer's homepage when you install it. other than that, it's a good program.

You and a friend are kindred spirits. Just got that, and it seems to be working. Now all I have to do is figure out the moonspeak.

I just picked up Mobile Light Force 2 (and 1 for good measure), and I'm sad to hear its really bad. I've been jamming on the second Sikigami game for the last 2 weeks, and I love it. The localization is terrible, but its almost a bit of a draw to watch, kind of like the Zero Wing translation.
If you were down with doing a write up on the series, I would love to help contribute. I have all three NA versions in the series, and I'm a big fan.

I actually bought the japanese version of shiki 2 without realizing that there was an english version. I'm still not sure if that was a good or bad thing...

Surprisingly, Shikigami 2's translation is not as bad as we've been lead to believe. Check this out: www.sgppresents.com/gallery/sns2Someone started retranslating the script, and the US version is not that far off. Sure, the voice acting was horrible, but the translation is fairly accurate. As for Shiki 1, I cleared it yesterday. Very low key, but it has good music, and is still not easy. Justin: All I would to know is the story of Shikigami 1, and I could handle the rest. I had no idea what was going on with the plot. I know a good deal about the characters.

Actually, I just remembered, Castle Shikigami 2 is covered in the post-mortem DC section.
Could the series still get its own article?

Wow. I'm definitely glad I got the japanese version. Everything sounds so deep when it's in a language you don't understand...
