www.hardcoregaming101.net/ranma/ranma.htmSo I know there's an early PSOne 3D Ranma fighter. Anyone anything about this, beyond it being awful? I also added a bunch of extra screenshots about Street Combat. That games is a joke.

You guys reminded me of playing Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle as a kid. I played that game religiously!
...and I was also a fan of the anime, though I didn't get to see that until 3 years ago.
I gotta check out the 3d one though.... TO SNESorama!

If you grab the ISO, let me know. I wouldn't mind covering and appending it here.

Who the hell is Pat R., and what did he have to do with this?
Posted that above sentence before I looked at the thing beyond the title. He obviously reworked the character profiles. Damn, that guy must watch a shitload of Ranma.
WHOA, HOLY CRAP?! Fatal Fury!? Damn, World Heroes deserves being called a SFII clone, but Fatal Fury?
Otherwise, no complaints. Very nice to see this go up. Thanks to you and whoever the hell Pat R. is for whatever each of you did.

Pat R = Pitchfork.
Fatal Fury is most definitely a Street Fighter II clone, although it's more evident in the second game. It's just not as blatant as World Heroes.

Er, Fatal Fury is much more of a Street Fighter I clone than anything else. FF2 brought it closer to the SFII structure, FFSpecial is something of a paradox because it's made to be more like Hyper Fighting/other SFII upgrades but in my opinion it surpasses every SFII variant except for Hyper Fighting itself and possibly Super Turbo.

I don't think Fatal Fury can be a clone of Street Fighter 2 since they are just 9 months apart. Besides, you would think they would include at least 8 characters instead of 3. The overall presentation of Fatal Fury is way above Street Fighter 2 too. Fatal Fury is a redesigned mixture of Street Smart and the first Street Fighter's one-on-one structure.

Fatal Fury was developed before SFII, but released after, so it can not be a clone.
Isn't there a Japanese exclusive Ranma fighter for TG-16 CD, as well, or have I heard wrong?

I recommend changing "maneki neko" to "lucky cat statue" for clarity. More people will know what you're talking about that way.
"Think of it as Mortal Kombat 2 with Shao Kahn wearing a Hawaiian shirt." Awesome. I recently played Shaolin Monks and that's a damn funny visual.

Seriously, everybody here should at least try Chougi Ranbu Hen (the 3rd game). Freaking awesome fighter, that is. I wish there was a option to speed it up, but it is still fantastic regardless.
Anybody here played that PS game? I heard that when it starts raining during levels it will cause characters to change form. Is that the only interesting thing about it, or does the gameplay actually hold up?

Nice article. I love Ranma 1/2 and the series really needs a new game of any kind.
Do you have a Hinako walking gif by any chance?
