Battle Clash brings me back...it's actually one of the few games I remember playing at a CES in Chicago when I was in like the 7th grade. No particular reason, though it may be the highly unique gun, that I never forgot about this particular game.

This is actually a pretty decent series. I might be mistaken, but I believe they can be played in a emulator without a mouse.

Coolness, but just a quick note, Kurt, my last name is spelled "Scarpaci." Thanks.

Oh, and Gunpei Yokoi also made Famicom Wars (and a couple of its sequels, maybe?) and Panel de Pon. That guy was freaking awesome.

I played through both of these games again, and they do kick ass, but I agree entirely with Dave's last statement. This game would be just PERFECT on the Virtual Console and would cement the Wiimote for being an awesome light gun controller.

Just a small note. I don't expect the images to be replaced or anything but they shouldn't have that crosshair on the screens. The real games didn't have it when you used the Super Scope Also the enemy called Lorca, who calls himself "Bard of Battle" might named be after spanish poet Federico GarcĂa Lorca. A bard was one of a caste of poets and scholars of medieval and early modern Europe. Garcia Lorca wrote a lot of poems, sonets and songs. Much like what bards did (and sang).

Yeah, but is there actually any way to take screenshots in a emulator without that crosshair there?

Those crosshairs could always be edited out from the screenshots. Shouldn't be too hard, but it would take some time.

Editing them out of the images would take ages To take the screens without the crosshairs all you need to do is to disable the superscope by pressing whatever key you selected in Config -> Devices -> Cycle Player2 and then enabling it back to keep on shooting.
