Geez, are you on a review marathon or something? I actually enjoy the game. But it's too easy. Extra lives come a dime a dozen, and only the final version of the final boss is of any challenge. I'm surprised that you didn't find magic very useful; that helped me overpower all the bosses with ease and safety. And as with Valis games, the controls feel awful at first, but it seems you get used to the clunkiness as things go on and the chain starts feeling like second nature.

I can see why that game wasn't released in America ;D
Anyway, I'm off to play this out of curiosity.

I think I need to rewrite that part. The fire and water/wind magic is hard to use properly, but you can clean up with the lightning magic.
I found some of the platforming segments late in the game to be pretty annoying, but outside of those and some of the boss battles, it's not really too difficult. I think it's only the amount of hits you (can't) take given some of the enemy patterns and the checkpoints that annoy me.

Another excellent article, nice job. Don't much enjoy the game though, I really gave it a go but the controls irked me tremendously. But them I'm used to Castlevania's supposedly "irritating precision", if you axe me.

Hey Kurt,
The title is misspelled in the main page of the site, its .htm file, and other references to the article.

Hi guys! Nice article, Kurt. I wanted to let you know that even if it sounds like "Fausseté Amour" means "False Love", it's not the case, because it just means... nothing, actually. You know Engrish? Well, Fausseté Amour is what we call here in France the Franponais (Français + Japonais ; French + Japanese). Amour means Love, I bet you already knew that. But Fausseté is a word that is not used anymore or, at least, it is very very very rare. The word to mean "false" is the same as the adjective : we'd rather say le faux. The grammar is also wrong, because there are two words for one phrase, without an adjective. Fausseté Amour is absolutely wrong. We'd rather say "Le faux Amour", or to be more French-looking : "l'Amour Interdit" or "l'Amour Impossible." Well, sorry for this uninteresting post, but I really wanted to point out that Fausseté Amour is in Franponais (or in Engrish, if you prefer... Or, in Flench!). It would be nice to mention this in the article, wouldn't it?

Thanks for the explanation. It did seem a bit odd to me, so I researched it a bit - "fausette" didn't appear to show up in any French-English dictionaries, but it did pop up here and there in a few other cases. In any case, I'll add this to the article.

Sure, I'll stay a while, I'd like to write articles (for Phantasy Star series for example) but my english is well too bad... Anyway, I'm a great fan of HG101 and I love your articles. You guys rock.

Don't worry about your English, everything goes through an editing/correction process beforehand. Just don't be offended if you're asked to clarify or re-write certain parts.

Really? So I'd be glad to contribute. I sent a mail to Kurt Kalata but I was not answered, so... I though it was a "no" .

Yeah, sorry, I have a tendency to forgot to reply to e-mails. Phantasy Star is taken, but if there are any others you're interested in, let us know.
