Also Zyclunt posted here is a DEMO and not a full version. It's the fake-or-lame (take your pick) MALICE release of the demo instead of the full game, it is locked to HARD difficulty and has missing stuff
also is it possible to get derboo 's uploads somewhere? the rs links are deleted and I am curious to try many of these games ;D

Seal: Travelers of Destiny - Garam & Baram (2000) Mainly posting this to try and raise awareness of this game cause I want to translate it. I've placed an ad searching for a hacker ad Romhacking.net, so if you know someone who might be interested, point them in that direction, please. The game is made by the same people who did Leithian, but this time it's a pure RPG and much better balanced, although there's some grinding required here and there. The world is fairly openly explorable from the beginning, mostly sectioned by the strength of the monster encounters (compare the first Baldur's Gate in this regard). Combat is most comparable to Grandia II, monsters are visible on the map to begin with, and it's very involved ATB where timing actually matters. It's possible to avoid enemy attacks by moving out to attack at the right moment, for example, but attacking enemies can also be missed. The party consists of up to five heroes, so later in the game there's much to do during combat. Hi-res spritework and animation are once again great, with only the backgrounds falling a bit behind. I also like the music, although it's comparatively quiet and low-key. The composer, Hwang Jooeun, also did music for Rhapsody of Zephyr. Hey guys, I'm Unicorn Lynx from MobyGames. I'd love to add all those Korean games to our website. However, there are two problems: 1) I can't read Korean at all, and 2) Most file-sharing websites are blocked in China (where I live). On the first page I found a few links to Abandonia, with a detailed description and download link. I was wondering where it would be possible for you to upload more of the games there? Particularly RPGs, since I'm most interested in that genre. Also, if it isn't too difficult, a short story synopsis (with character names etc.) would be great. Thank you very much in advance!

The problem with Abandonia is that for a game to get uploaded one has to write a complete review, and then it takes at least a couple months for the files to be processed. They also won't post any games that require proficiency in Korean, so no RPGs there. For information on games, this is the best starting point for now: www.hardcoregaming101.net/korea/appendix-gameindex-etitle.htmNote that this also contains arcade games, freeware games, just a handful of online games, and conversions of Japanese games (almost all games for the SPC-1000). With many of the older games you can copy&paste the hangeul title into google (use parentheses for better results) and find some more "info". Sometime in the next couple months there will be a massive update with better sorted lists (with conversions and everything that wasn't sold in retail on seperate pages) and much more complete (my offline index currently has more than 700 entries for retail games alone, though only a fraction will get proper text descriptions). Since you're working for MobyGames, I'd like to strongly urge you not to use watermarks for any screenshots you might upload (also, while you're at it, try to get rid of the atrocious watermarks for cover scans). In other news, lots of progress on my new translation. I've found someone to take over the hacking for this one, so there'll be no messed up menus and other such annoyances.
