Interesting. Are you going to compile all these games in a big article? How many of them are there?

Probably not. They're all going to be short but it makes more sense from an organizational standpoint. There's no real link between most doujin games (with Touhou being the exception and maybe other more prolific stuff like Meltyblood or Eternal Fighter Zero), at least not one that would make sense. I'm planning on covering most of the EasyGameStation games, but how many people know what EasyGameStation is?

I don't, and neither does Wikipedia, could anyone please inform me?

EasyGameStation is a doujin soft group who've been around for a few years. Most of their more recent games have had pretty decent production values - they don't exactly look like PS2 games, but generally have nice sprite work, attractice art, voices, nice music - basically, some pretty nice production values for independent games. They did Duo Princess amongst others.

Sounds good to me. Keep up the excellent work. I don't usually like long articles but I find myself in the middle of one right now. Go figure.

This might not go here, so my apologies if this is so. I read the Master Burner article, then followed the link to the After Burner article and read through it. Both of these reminded me of a game I have for my sega genesis and I finally remembered the name. Air Diver. It plays pretty much identically to some earlier After Burner games (by description anyway), minus ground targets and dodging stages. A vulcan B missile C after burners. Barrels rolls and a full loop-de-loop are possible and required to survive a missile lock. Every level ends in a battle with one of 3(4?) bosses. That's the short summary, playing is a more entertaining way of learning more than reading my rambles. I like the soundtrack and the ocean level at night is pretty gorgeous for a genesis fighter game. First post! Thanks for reading it.

I love that this thread is so old it still links to Gamespy... and that I didn't notice. "But why is the link not working?"
