Apparently, this exists. A pirate port of MOTW for the GBC, using sprites from the NGPC fighters as well as originals.
Huh.
Also, I think I enjoy MOTW more than RB2 nowadays. A shame its bugs never got fixed.

From the Real Bout 2-portion: "Gameplay-wise, just about everything is identical to Real Bout Special (...) The plane switching works exactly like before"
This is absurdly wrong. In RBS, you could remain on the bacground plane or just proceed to fight there regularly, in RB2, it is strictly for evasion and "jump back"-purposes.
Also, as far as I know, the Playstation port of Wild Ambition is far from perfect, changing up a lot of stuff. I know HNG64 emulation is tricky, but the article comes off across like it's based on the (implied to be identical) Playstation version.

This is one of those articles (along with Art of Fighting) that needs to be totally rewritten, though that probably won't happen until we get around to publishing an SNK book.
It was also written nearly a decade ago. Last time I checked, Hyper Neo Geo 64 emulation was extremely glitchy but halfway functional. Back then it literally did not function at all, so the review here solely discusses the PS1 version. I don't know how well the emulation for Wild Ambition is though, I've only tried the Samurai Shodown games.

Emulation is still awful.

In a just world, that site (and HCG101, for that matter) and screamy Youtubers would swap bank accounts.
