www.hardcoregaming101.net/pulirula/pulirula.htmI discovered this on one of the Taito compilations for the PS2. It's on the Taito Legend Vol 2 pack released in American and Europe, and it's like $12. Anyway, this game isn't that great gameplay-wise, but is so cracked out it has to be seen to be believed. I also have the soundtrack to this somewhere on my shelf. It's really awful!

Holy shit, that was fast! We've got some beastly weather out on the east coast. I took the day off, so I had some time to work on some stuff.

Ah this game I rember this one and this game is not on the European version of Taito Legends Vol. 2 on the ps2 or xbox wish it would of been on instead of Crap like Rastan Saga 2. Some of them odd backgrounds are based off real paintings and theres a level based off this game in bubble bobble 2. Also is this enemy with boxing gloves even in the game?

Looks like I was wrong about it being on Taito Legends Vol 2. Oops.

I first played this game a few years ago after reading about it from this site. Its like a really bad acid trip. It is quite funny though.

The SS version feels like the best port of the game by far.

I remember this game. It was so damned bizarre that I could make a friend's computer crash (as well as make him scream in horror) just by saying its name.
At least, that's what he always told me.

theres a level based off this game in bubble bobble 2. Which level? Is it in the NES version?

theres a level based off this game in bubble bobble 2. Which level? Is it in the NES version? I think he meant Bubble Symphony, not Rainbow Islands. There's a level based off of Pulirula in Bubble Symphony.

This is old, but I thought it was kinda nifty to see the article on GameSetWatch. I really like the title that they chose. Good Lord, It's Pu-Li-Ru-La

So, I know that this is bumping the thread a bit, but I hope that this is allowed as long as I have something to contribute to this thread. I know that this forum thread and the article is pretty old by now, but I'd love to share this anyway. Me and DaVince21 have compared the Japanese and Engrish text of the game, as well as given a more clearer and legible version of the dialogue than what the "World" arcade version given us English speakers. I did the transcription of the Japanese, romaji and Engrish, and DaVince21 has given a more proper translation into English from the Japanese text as well as cleaned up the romaji a bit. This actually happened a while ago this/last year, but I never publicly showed it up until now. Here is the Google docs for the comparison: docs.google.com/document/d/1FELj57dNtKLiWZ7nelXNtjIiWfKBS4pbEM6tsPDj-3c/edit?usp=sharingOh, and by the way, if anyone wants to use this for their hypothetical fan translations of the FM Towns/PS1/Saturn ports of the game, either as a basis or outright copying the text verbatim into the game, they are free to do so. Might convert this to Pastebin soon enough.
