en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umihara_KawaseI picked up the SFC game at a local used / import shop after reading about it in some sort of classic gaming magazine. It's pretty amazing and worth tracking down (although eBay doesn't seem to have any copies). I really, really want the PS1 game, but I've only see it for $65 and that's more than I'm willing to pay for. Although it might balance the Panzer Bandit I bought for $20...

Yeah someone suggested this to me. Never played it but apparently it's really cool. There's a bit of it on the Insert Credit wiki (I think?) that mentions that the SFC version is a little bit better for whatever reason.
I just snagged Panzer Bandit off eBay for $50. Figured that was good price, since it'd seen it hover around the $90-$100 mark before.

I've played the SFC version and the PSX "Umihara Kawase Syun Second Editon" versions. I haven't found any fundamental gameplay differences between them. The most I can see that's different is the obvious (new levels and better graphics).

Hrm, I really need to find a replacement for CherryROMs... This looks like a fun game to import. I've been a big fan of the graplin hook in the past--if that's what I see in the Wikipedia screenshot.

Romnation.net is good, now that they got rid of the porn ads.
Emuasylum took down all of the NES and SNES ROMs unfortunately.

Wow, that's the second time today you've given me a good pointer! Thanks!
Romnation is a whole lot different than the last time I visited. Porn ads were the first thing I noticed missing. The site also loads a whole lot faster, and download times are pretty good. I'll still visit The Old Computer for NES, though.
