That's good to know, thanks. I usually don't get the anime ripoffs unless the Koreans talk about them (like with Kkoedori's music), and there just isn't much talk about this game.

Hmm, I'm currently undecided how to treat profiles of companies that released games in more than one "era", whether I should cover all their games at once or wait until I do the correspondent part of the history. Any opinions?

If it's a company profile, I would think it would be best just to list their games, regardless of era. Especially since it isn't like you wouldn't eventually get to that time point anyway.

Only just seen this topic. I'm so glad to see this article taking shape, though your original link is dead, so I'll have to wait for the HG101 feature.
Did you have any luck with the print mags which I emailed Kurt about?

Yeah, I took it down because there were too many facts still off in that version to leave it on for too long, but I promise the final work will be worth the wait. I'm currently frequenting the national library to dig in old magazines. By the time I'm done the article just may contain more interesting facts than available on the web so far in any language, including Korean. Thanks a lot for the tips concerning print mags, I only just wrote to the contact at GamesTM, as I wanted to sort a few things out beforehand (didn't dare to try Edge). I'm gonna hear from their features editor in a few days and see if they want to do it.

Pfft, so many writers say the exact thing: I wouldn't dare ask EDGE. They're honestly not as good, or as important as many people think. They have a reputation, and it isn't deserved. Hearing that you've gone to so much effort on this, I'd say the article is probably too good for them. Too good for most print mags. But then I hold a grudge against most print mags. Btw, I hope you went with GamesTM's Retro editor, Ash, and not their regular features editor. You'd probably have more freedom in the retro section. If you're worried about the grammar of the final piece, then myself, and I'm sure Kurt and others here would be happy to offer advice. Anyway, good luck with this. I'm really excited that so much information is being documented - the fact that you're going to library to look through archives is mind blowing. This should be a proper book, or its own dedicated website even. It'll certainly be a feather in HG101's cap: officially the internet's biggest resource on Korean games. Also, Talbain was asking about Korean games on SB: forums.selectbutton.net/viewtopic.php?t=25856

Yeah, I wasn't worried about the quality of the article, but rather the fact that I have little to advertise myself with other than the handful of articles I did on HG101 (I've done stuff for some German websites, as well, but I guess that wouldn't be of much use). Btw, I hope you went with GamesTM's Retro editor, Ash, and not their regular features editor. You'd probably have more freedom in the retro section. If you're worried about the grammar of the final piece, then myself, and I'm sure Kurt and others here would be happy to offer advice. I contacted Ash, but he forwarded me to the features editor. Are GamesTM's and Retro Gamer's editorial departments entirely seperate? I.e. is Retro Gamer worth another shot if it doesn't work out with GamesTM?

Yes, Retro Gamer is a separate magazine at the other end of a very large office. GamesTM though has both an internal retro department, and a regular modern department, which sit side-by-side. Ash is (was) in charge of this retro section, though he is wholly separate from Retro Gamer.
If GamesTM doesn't want it, then it's worth pitching to Retro Gamer.
Don't worry about advertising yourself, I think the scope of this article practically sells itself. I'm surprised Ash passed you on to the regular features editor, that's a bit odd. In which case, I would say it's definitely worth contacting EDGE. Keep your options open!
