I find it interesting that the Japanese Tomb Raider artwork is typically of Lara Croft's backside, as opposed to her front.

Well, most of the stuff I'd gathered at the time was for then-modern games. I've been meaning to do an update with more recent games (the JP Uncharted 2 cover is pretty cool) but just haven't gotten to it. But if you guys find any more interesting stuff, I'll definitely feature it.
The JP Lawnmower Man turned into "Virtual Wars". Probably makes more sense...

USA (PC) - Yikes Japan (Saturn) Pretty lame-o but at least not aggressively ugly Took out the BOF III pics as I had missed the point of the thread entirely.

Wow, I used to own Druid. This is the German cover, that easily wipes the floor with both of those (and throw the ingame graphics in, too): Breath of Fire is the wrong way round, though...

I find "THE FIGHTERS OF KING" absolutely riotous myself.

I find it interesting that the Japanese Tomb Raider artwork is typically of Lara Croft's backside, as opposed to her front. I don't think the Tomb Raider games have ever had good box art. Also, are the Battletech/Mechwarrior games Japanese or American?

I just realized I had been looking at this one without noticing the differences for a long time: Guy with jetpack. Gundam.

Wow they should have let Japan do the art for them.

Wow they should have let Japan do the art for them. The weird thing about that is that Battletech originally took mechs from Macross and the like, so that Japanese cover is kind of a Japanization of an Americanization of Japanese stuff.
