I don't think that smirk that Nathan's sporting on the Uncharted 2-J Cover is humanly possible...

She also looks more like an adventuring girl(to me) and less like a pirate. When I think "pirate" I think of the kind of guy on the US/EU cover.

When I see the Japanese cover, and even though it's nice, I cringe at the prospect of unending dialogue.

I wonder how did they adapt the localization, since the games are full of Western pop culture references (I think it was starting from the second game where Gex blurted out funny phrases from time to time).
Edit: My bad, it was already in the first game.

From what I can remember, the first game had all of the speech removed (except for the introduction cutscene, which was redubbed in Japanese), and the second game left the speech as it was in the US English version (though oddly, the European versions of 2 and 3 both had redubs by famous British voice actors).

Yeah, coming from Europe myself, I'm more accustomed to the British version and I prefer it vastly over the US one.

I lived in US so I never knew about the voices. The UK voice in Enter the Gecko was Leslie Phillips and 3 was Danny John-Jules.
I kinda wondered what Gex 3 would of been received in Japan considering the anime channel and all. Looking at quotes, UK seemed to have better phrases for keeping theme of the levels but Japan would of took the US voicework anyways.
