www.hardcoregaming101.net/cladun/cladun.htmThis retro-graphic style dungeon crawler was released on PSN not too long ago by Nippon Ichi, but I barely saw it promoted and it seems to have completely fallen off. I wasn't that impressed with it at first, but it's a pretty decent game, and there's a huge amount of depth to it. It has come out at roughly the same time as ZHP, which I think is sorta similar?

It was pretty much sent to die on the PSN.
I can see why, this game... yeah. It's hard to classify. I really like the style and localization, though. NIS America have really stepped up their writing game.

They were really stuck in a bad place with these games. Someone judged they wouldn't be successful enough to warrant a retail release (like it was in Japan) and figured a digital release would be cheaper...but the PSN is awful about promoting its titles, and NISA didn't seem to do much for it either.

this game and zettai hero project don't really share that much besides that they are both published by N1
and this game doesn't really follow roguelike rules at all other than there is a random dungeon option,it's probably closer to diablo

So in effect, a place like HG101 could help save the games to a degree by promoting it to the very people who take an interest?

I want a box and a manual with this. I'm not paying for ethereal games.

NISA is really stuck between a rock and a hard place with releases like these. Their audience is generally the type to prefer physical goods (myself included) but they aren't in big enough numbers, apparently, to justify a retail release. They tried with Badman and it looked like it ended up flopping. Therefore, it doesn't really seem like anyone is happy. At least we get them released in English in some form, though.

Btw. I think there now is another sequel to the Badman series, isn't it?

Yeah, it's called No Heroes Allowed! in English and Sony published it. Unfortunately as of now it doesn't seem playable on hacked PSPs, and I don't think Sketcz has any interest in it, so we don't have anyone to cover it for the moment.

I have my plate full. I'd like to cover it eventually but only once I plug out a few others.

I'm confused. So this is download-only and playable only on PSP or is it playable on the PS3 too?

Download only and only playable on PSP. It was originally a PSP retail release in Japan.

That's lame. They should've just made it a downloadable PS3 title. Would've probably done better.

It's actually the opposite in Japan, really. PSP games do really well in Japan and PS3 games are only okay. Over here, PS3 does pretty well and PSP games only do okay in rare cases.
