For once I have a suggestion for the column: Stupid Invaders, a French adventure game based on the cartoon series Space Goofs but which makes it much more "adult" in its humour (a section of the game takes place in a literal poo factory). I've dug up an old post of mine where I made a list of all the things wrong I found with it, with some little edits made now.
I remember someone justifying it (not here, elsewhere) as being released during a "dark age" for adventure games, in late 2000, between the genre falling out of mainstream and its more recent indie revival, but even the disappointment that was Escape From Monkey Island, released roughly at the same time, is magnitudes better than this.

These games should probably be featured in the YWK feature at some point:
Mad Panic Coaster:
From the looks of the gameplay, is it even possible to beat this game? You would have to have lighting quick reflexes to react to anything and I still don't think you could avoid all of the hazards.
Maka Maka:
I would love to know what the hell is going on in this game in general.
Street Cleaning Simulator:
Just because.

For some reason, there seems to be a market for those extremely niche sims in Germany. The months I lived in Switzerland in 2008, I noticed an harvester simulator on a shelf.

There's an entire thread on NTSC-uk about simulator games. Street sweeping sims, farming sims, forklift sims, you name it. I've recently been playing Alaskan Storm, a crab fishing sim on Xbox, and it's actually surprisingly good!

Maka Maka: I would love to know what the hell is going on in this game in general. A kusoge is something thats just a piece of shit. Maka Maka is a deliberately weird and crazy, but well made rpg.

I have to say I rather loved Power Shovel on the PS1 - what other game lets you pour curry with a JCB?

A kusoge is something thats just a piece of shit. Maka Maka is a deliberately weird and crazy, but well made rpg. I couldn't tell if Maka Maka was a good RPG or not, but I was thinking that it was within the parameters of intentionally stupid or bizarre kusoge games. Although now I'd be even more curious if this game is a good game in general.

Holy crap! There is a Deadliest Catch video game based off of the Discovery Channel show?! There's TWO! Be careful though. Alaskan Storm is the one you want, it's a serious simulation with videos and input from all the crew on the show, plus you can pick which captain you play (I always pick Sig). You then chart your course, pick crew, lay pots, repair your ship, and so on. The second game is an incredibly awful collection of minigames. I forget the name. It has a very orange cover.

I assumed that for the purpose of this section, you'd want that Sketcz, you could do an article on the Deadliest Catch games and within the same update have the YWK be the crappy mini game collection one! Two birds.

I was considering that very same thing - I've actually got some Alaskan Storm pics taken with my HD box. But then, I'd actually need to buy Sea of Chaos, and it's like £20-30 on eBay. Looking at this Youtube vid, it might not be that bad, but it's not a sim like Alaskan Storm: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK6ny9_3h7Q

Every time you guys mention Maka Maka I think of the graphic lesbian sex manga by that name.

Might I suggest the glitchy as hell PSX survival horror game Virus - It Is Aware, based off the 90s creature feature movie based off the comic book.
The movie came out in the 90s during a rash of sea based creature features like Deep Blue Sea and Deep Rising. It has Jamie Lee Curtis (she thinks the film is one of her worse), one of the Baldwins, Donald Sutherland, and a Milla Jovovich lookalike. I love the design of the final baddy that shows up, and laugh every time that someone attempts to sacrifice themselves at the end in order to slow the creature down (after 2 people throw themselves to the grinder without it slowing, you gotta understand nothing short of a whale is gonna slow down the thing.) I know very little of the game except it's bad reputation.
