hg101.kontek.net/revolter/revolter.htmPart of me wants to apologize for this article - there are only two paragraphs, and only one of them talks about the game itself. This is because Revolter is not all that great, a shooter on a platform ill equipped for shooters. But is the first work by Hitoshi Sakimoto (and the second work by his partner-in-crime Masaharu Iwata) so I figured it'd be worth it to talk about it, even if just for a bit. The music is pretty good too, and I stuck up MP3s of a few songs using the sound driver that Sakimoto created. I love the sound of it, though I am an FM-music fetishist. I put the game to download too - just make sure to stick in both disks into separate drives or it won't get past the intro screen.

And this is why we read HG101. Insignificant gameplay in a historically significant shmup (with a rocking OST) is prime material for the site, Kurt. Good work, sir, no apology needed at all. There must be hundreds of games for these old Japanese PCs worth unearthing...
