Huh. I always considered hardcore gamers to be the type of people that enjoy games from every system. The only time a hardcore gamer would prefer one system over another would be because most of the games he enjoys is on that system.
For example, I like my PS2 more than my Gamecube because that system has many more RPGs on it. That said, I'm not like "OMG PS2 AER TEH BOM AN NINTENDARD SUXORS" beucase of that point.
...Or maybe that's what Mazin ment. I dunno.

It would be nice if there wasn't a single troll here (We don't really have any now, but to say we will never have one is silly), but that's another topic of discussion. The way I see it, one of the ways I survive on gamefaqs is because of trolls. I eat trolls for breakfast. I don't go looking for them though...they come to me...and that makes getting a meal a lot easier.

The way I see it, one of the ways I survive on gamefaqs is because of trolls. Don't be ridiculous. Trolls keep us from discussing games. Time spent on trolls is time you don't have to play games. Trolls make it harder to find relevant discussion. With trolls, everybody loses!

This topic should be moved to the off-topic forum.
/me notices how Kurt hasn't even bothered posting here.
And about that whole period and paretheses use, here's the correct way:
(When a complete sentence is enclosed in parentheses, place punctuation in the sentence inside the parentheses, like this.) If only part of a sentence is enclosed in parentheses (like this), place punctuation outside the parentheses (like this).

I play and own PSP, sure it's not the greatest system in the world, but it satisfies me, same as a DS satisfies it's owner, and any other system satisfies it's owner. Both systems if I could I'd own, no questions asked, no regrets, but due to low funds it was PSP for me.

Wait...low funding pushed you to buy the PSP? Didn't the PSP cost about double the DS? Also, I remember the DS' games costing less, about 3/5. Oh well, I guess you had your reasons.

No low funding kept me from buying both portables, that and I still buy games for my PS 2 from time to time.
Otherwise if I had a little more spare cash, I'd have bought a DS too.

ed......... It was just a joke. Relax guy. I really don't take trolls seriously at all. Games are important to me, but I don't mind discussing other matters...besides, that's why there is an off-topic board for this off-topic topic. About the PSP, I want it just to play Manga Carta Portable.

ed......... It was just a joke. Relax guy. That's not the point. The point is that I'm a happier person now that I don't spend time with trolls. Hopefully, one of these days you'll have that revelation too, and waste less time there. I don't spend nearly as much time on message boards as I used to, period, though. I try to make an important point or two and then move onto something else.

Great. You are a happier person, but what's all this about a "revelation"? It's only a waste of time if you don't benefit from it. I highly doubt the feeling is mutual between me and a troll, but I always benefit from the encounter in one way or another. I get a good laugh out of trolls, and like I said before, I don't go around asking for trolls, but they will always exist and as long as they do, I learn to cope with them.
You've already made your point several posts back...now I'm just curious as to why my post has become a target for something other than meaningful conversation. It's an opinion...no more, no less.
On another note, what DOES it really mean to be a hardcore gamer? The term is used pretty loosely, but I don't think there is one clear answer to that question. Malroth had a pretty good description.

A gamer that values gameplay more than graphics and story? A gamer that can appreciate the gems of old and new?

Great. You are a happier person, but what's all this about a "revelation"? It's only a waste of time if you don't benefit from it. Well, your mileage may vary. I think this is a splendid example of why I don't spend so much time on message boards anymore; I get into 'discussions' like this. Still, I don't see what you can possibly gain by arguing with complete idiots. I'd say that if they're bringing up good points or causing you to re-examine your own beliefs that's fine, but you don't need trolls for that.

Necro, that's actually a perfect description, since you'd naturally have to appreciate great games for what they are to spend so much time on them, and spending a lot of time gaming really makes you only appreciate them more!
