www.hardcoregaming101.net/history/history.htmI kinda forgot about it when this was posted, but that thread about Croatian magazines reminded me that I've been meaning to ask for suggestions to add links to the list on page 1. So if you know any more useful links that fit into any of the categories, let me know.

Sorry if this is not of great importance at all, but maybe, just maybe, you might like it (at least, it could be useful to the games of the world section)... Datacassete is a Brazilian website about the computers that were famous here, mainly the MSX, the ZX Spectrum and the CoCo: www.datacassete.com.br/The section "Livros" has many books with type-in programs: www.datacassete.com.br/livros.htmlAnd the section "Revistas" has many scans of old videogame and computer magazines: www.datacassete.com.br/revistas.htmlIf you would like to know, the main videogame magazines in the 90's here were "Super Game Power", "Ação Games" and "Gamers" (this last one made the Playstation yet more famous all by itself - and it has the worst Portuguese, so don't use it to learn our language =) ).

MagazinesThis wiki doesn't have magazine scans itself, but rather tries to offer some of the contents e.g. you can enter a game title above, and if you're lucky it will list instances where the game was written about. magazinesfromthepast.wikia.com/wiki/Magazines_from_the_Past_WikiThe Amiga Magazine Rack is somewhat similar, you'll get to see the actual scans there though (it's not exclusively Amiga reviews either.) amr.abime.net/Worldofspectrum is not only a Spectrum database. The magazines from which the adverts and articles that are listed with each entry are taken can be downloaded from the FTP, and there are also a lot of multiformat ones there: ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclair/Some of the scans from there and other sources have been taken and been made searchable through OCR: retropdfs.wordpress.com/download is unfortunately via torrent, although they may be mirrored elsewhere (e.g. Amstrad Action) Tandy CoCo specific mags (also with OCR!) can be found here: sites.google.com/a/aaronwolfe.com/cococoding/home/magazinesFinally, not really a mag, but useful print media regardless is Questbusters: questbusters3.yolasite.com/Databaseswww5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~apaslothy/product/index.htmlPC8001 MK2/SR hol.abime.net/ is the premier Amiga database atarilegend.com/games/games_main.phpThis is probably the most complete Atari ST database, unfortunately, the screen shots are broken. www.atarimania.com/is the obvious alternative, and also happens to cover other Atari systems. www.gamebase64.com/index.phpThe gamebase64 project is in terms of completeness the most advanced C64 database. www.cpc-power.com/for Amstrad CPC plus4world.powweb.com/homefor Commodore 16/Plus4 Other obscure systems mostly don't have databases for them, but listings, wikis, a gamebase download, whatever.

A couple of days ago, I've added two more pages to the article: One is a compilation of most of the posts and discussions we had about the authenticity of screenshots, the other my recent research about the release date of Adventure, taken over from the blog.
The link list is also ever-expanding, of course.

Very nice fifth page. So what we should do here is to get artists to draw the screenshots, right? Right?
Anyway, this sentence is a bit faulty: "The Super Game Boy, a peripheral for the SNES that allowed to play Game Boy games on the TV screen, while choosing between many different preset palettes." Maybe that should start with "Like".

You scared me with Valkyrie Profile Lenneth; it's obvious they stretched menu to widescreen, but sprites are correct and i scenery background are zoomed in; damn now i spend some time finding screenshots from both versions and trying to compare how ps1 version look if they "just stretched"
