hg101.kontek.net/dynamitedux/dynamitedux.htmMy obsessive desire to play every bit of Sega's back catalogue manifests in an article on this, a very cutesy little beat-em-up. It's not fantastic by any standards, but it's likeable nonetheless. The music is catchy. I should probably stick up an MP3. It's by the same guy who did the Space Harrier theme even though it sounds nothing alike.

I used to have this for the SMS. It's one of the SMS games I've considering picking up again, but it hasn't been a priority. I may have to remedy that at some point, because I miss playing it from time to time.

Up until now, I've only read about this game without ever actually seeing it. I always assumed it was some kind of spiritual predecessor to Dynamite Deka (Die Hard Arcade). I was kind of surprised when I saw all the cartoon ducks. It really caught me off guard.

I feel I should also mention: outside of Sonic the Fighters, Bean the Dynamite also appears in Fighters Megamix on the Saturn, and I don't think he needs to be unlocked, either. He's a bit overpowered, being able to throw bombs.

He's a bit overpowered, being able to throw bombs. Actually, he does need to be unlocked. You have to beat course E to unlock both him and Bark. He controls exactly like he does in Sonic the Fighters outside the shield defense and he does not have the damage meter that Megamix takes from Fighting Vipers. His stage theme is not his from StF but of Knuckles' stage South Island - Lovers. I believe he also shares Knuckles' stage as well. Also, Fighters Megamix is an amazing fighter. One of Saturn's best.

Bean is also a capsule toy you can get in Shenmue (1 and 2, I think). I kept getting him over and over again, and thinking "who the hell IS this?" Now I know!
I'll have to try and load this up on MAME when I get a chance, because I never knew about it.

A Megamix 2 with Brad, Goh, Taka, Aoi, Eileen, Jean, Lei-Fei, Vanessa, Charlie, Emi, Del Sol, and Ryo Hazuki added would be nice. Maybe add in Jay, Lina, and Talon from OutTrigger (though remove their guns), too.

None of the articles from the latest update are, actually, cause I'm usually the one in charge for the catalog but I was severely pressed for time this month. They'll be in sometime during the next week.

Random reminder: The article still doesn't mention this other cameo.
