www.ubergizmo.com/2012/03/baldurs-gate-enhanced-edition-announced/First a date for Diablo 3, sequel to the sequel of one omy favorite games. Now, the reason I got into RPG's as much as I did. All I need now is for Final Fantasy VIII to get a remake and Pokemon Silver to be redone in 3D like the GCN game and my very basis as an RPG fanatic will have been completely revisited. Oh and Legend of Dragoon to be redone with a bigger inventory.

This might be interesting. I bought the original Baldur's Gate and BGII back in 2003, but just couldn't get past the awful graphics and interface of the original. Maybe now I'll finally be able to see why everyone loved this game.

What's wrong with the interface?

Unfortunately, that was nine years ago and I only spent a short amount of time with the game. Either way, this new version should definitely suffice.

If this does well enough for them, I wonder if they'll be doing a enhanced edition of BGII after. While I enjoyed the first one on its own, the second was one of my favorite PC games of the time.

They're not really revealing anything now... They're going to spread out the disappointments over several weeks

Oh and Legend of Dragoon to be redone with a bigger inventory. Just bury that one in a desert with the ET carts. There's no need to inflict that crap on another generation. I fully support Sony's stance of burying their heads in the sand and pretending it doesn't exist.

Legend of Dragoon is one of my favorite games. Sure the translation is awful, but the battle system was unique and entertaining. Perhaps growing up with Power Rangers has left me predisposed to liking color coded teams. On topic, I'd be up for a remake of BG. I bought the originals back on GOG a while ago, but couldn't make it past the slow interface and 2nd edition D&D rules. The only one of that lot I really enjoyed was Icewind Dale II as 3rd Edition D&D was my first experience with D&D.

Yeah, I got into D&D with 3rd edition through NWN. Good times. Second edition just feels so...barbaric.

I already have the original games on GOG, which I plan on playing through at some point. I'm not sure if I want to get this remade version or not. I'd prefer to experience the games as they were originally made, though depending on what changes they make, and how they're implemented, I might check this out.

I am incredibly excited about this game. Reading the comments on that article was incredibly depressing. It's all they better/not change to 4th. I'm commitng sepukku if they release it for consloles. Planescape: Torment should be redone instead. Bioware sucks. I think I'm officially done reading comments. And I visit the PS blog every Tuesday.

What timing! I finally decided to import a copy of this and now here we are two weeks later and they are releasing this. You guys can all thank me for taking one for the team.
