I think he should really stop posting stuff until he's sure the game is going to be released. No one wants another Megaman Legends 3 situation. I strongly disagree. This is all fascinating stuff and worth documenting no matter if the game is actually in a releasable state. And other than Capcom, who had officially announced Mega Man Legends 3, he is making no promises, either (AFAIK; didn't follow everything he posted).

Somewhere in those quotes this morning, he was also talking with the president of M2 and asking if he had a place that he could burn ROMs, so....

If he's able to see this through to the end, will there be a follow-up with Nishizawa asking him about his experiences in bringing the title back from the grave?

Has Nishizawa considered asking for Sakamoto's help in restoring the game's sounds. I know Sakamoto had a disk with sound files for Aquario, not to mention he was responsible for releasing the game's soundtrack in the first place. Kurt, can you tweet to Nishizawa and direct him to Sakamoto's twitter? twitter.com/sintan_jpp

Looks like the restoration project is still underway. The game's artist found some old production materials for Aquario that are going to be digitized. Attachments:

So we could be playing this game sometime next year? I guess I will just get it digitally I dread the idea of fighting over >5k copies of an unreleased classic game.

This would be amazing. I thought Nishizawa wasn't able to find enough of the game in his archives to get it into a working state.
