The Steam summer sale just started, as usual it's worth waiting a bit for the site to recover from the rush, I can't buy anything yet due to "heavy load."
Cue every PC game I bought recently being available for less than I paid (Legend of Grimrock and The Walking Dead are already up!).
Based on past experience, you shouldn't buy anything until it's a daily deal, and wait until the very last day of the sale if it's not.

You might think 50% off is a good deal today and snatch it up, but regret it once you see it's 75% off tomorrow as a daily deal. Just got Legend of Grimrock, myself.

Hard Reset + the DLC expansion is currently available on Steam at a 75% discount, for a meager $3.75.
It's a good game! If you haven't played it, here's your chance!

Also on Steam, Eschalon Books 1 & 2 are 75% off as well, and buying both comes to about $6. These are old-school cRPGs, much like Spiderweb Software's games. Very good stuff, and there's a demo available so you can try before you buy.
Here's the trailer for Eschalon Book 1, although the video quality is a bit rubbish:

Arx Fatalis on sale on Steam for 1.99 USD!
Awesome game, and it is basically Ultima Underworld 3 with the serial numbers filed off (allegedly the developers intended to make UU3, but were not able to get the license).
Still looks decent today!

Still not sure what (from Steam) my laptop can run that I'd actually be interested in, hmm...

If you're thinking about getting The Witcher 2 for today's sale price at Steam, but prefer it DRM-Free: On GOG.com it's even cheaper, and the first one is also on sale. Only 12 hours left.

The first game IS cheaper on Steam however, so keep that in mind.

Civ III Complete on sale for $1.25. I know it's two game behind the latest, but if you haven't been keeping up with Civ since II, and don't have a PC that can run 4 or 5 comfortably, it's a good deal.

How are the Genesis games at that store packed? Is it a standalone exe, the ROM packed with an emulator, or do you have to install their client?
