Gourmet Sentai Bara Yarou: Without doubt one of the wackiest japanese games ever released and, as it was described in an older thread from another member, "it's The Chou Aniki of beat 'em ups that deserves an article at HG101". It also deserves a fan-translation. It was even included at the "Sexual Moments in Videogames History" of i-Mockery: www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/sexual-games/28.phpMy problem is that I don't find any walkthrough for this game to see the basic controls and the move list of each character. Could anyone help please?

I've played this on an emulator. It's one of those games that just gets repetitive like most older beat em ups.
It's odd though.

Love that game. Sadly, figuring out any of the advanced manouvers can be near impossible (but isn't that the case with most of these old school beat'em ups?).

I'm pretty sure to remember a translation patch was made for this game years ago,and it's not useless because between levels you have to create recipes (there's a reason it has "Gourmet" in the title), some have little effects, some are good boosts and others may be even harmful.

Not the best beat-em-up I've played, but certainly one of the most interesting.
What I find particularly amusing is the fact you have a button for posing, so if you want to be flashy while you thrash your enemies, you're welcome to do so anytime you want.

Even better, you can play as pretty much any non-boss enemy in the game by selecting one of the Japanese letters on the character select screen. One of these characters has a self-destruct attack. And in this game, you only get one life. See where I'm going with this?

At least can you tell me how I cad do more poses (not only the regular one by pressing A button once) and the more advanced grabbings?

You can extend the poses by rotating the D-pad while holding A. Tres Bien(?)'s pose with the fan is actually a complete animation that you can loop as many times as you want by just continuing to rotate the pad.

That flyer just make me think of the short-lived Fighting Foodons. Fighting food with attitude?

I was actually working on the fan translation of the Japan-only Fighting Foodons (aka Bistro Recipe) games.
For the record, I don't consider it dropped - just indefinitely on hiatus until I get other stuff over and done with. ^_^; That said, I do plan on using a few of 4Kids' names - broken clocks and whatnot. Calling the villains the "Gluttons" instead of "Bishocker" (a pun on "bishokuka," "gourmet"), for one. Probably "King Gorge" instead of "Don Cook." Also "Fried Ricer" and "Omelette." "Applegator," too. Nowadays I'm seriously considering slapping the "Fighting Foodons" logo on the title screen. XD
(Though the stuff that blatantly ignores what dishes the Foodons really represent is getting thrown out like week-old leftovers. XD)

One of the better SFC belt scrollers imo. There are plenty of moves hidden by it's unconventional movelist, there used to be a japanese fansite which had the complete movelist + complete recipe combination, which is unfortunately down: gekihaden.hp.infoseek.co.jp/bry/recipe.html

Thanks a lot for the help, Weasel and loempiavreter.
By the way I didn't knew about Fighting Foodons francise. And I thought that Toriko was the only shonen about fighting foods. At least Fighting Foodons looks more funny (I don't like Toriko just like many other popular titles from Shonen Jump). The 4Kids Entertainment intro rules and it's the only intro from 4Kids Entertainment intro I like besides Pokemon First Season and Pokemon Johto intros.
I'm looking forward the translation of the game.
