"It's unfortunate that the game just abruptly ends after the final battle"
Actually, the Japanese version has a nice credits slideshow after the ending.

Unless he's trying to make a Final Fight reference. =P

I spent a little bit of time working on a new translation of the Japanese game. It's on the backburner, but I'll get around to it eventually. Anyway I'd like to comment on it as there was some discussion on it that might prove useful. The コックン in the title, which I believe is Kokkun, is a play on コック which means cook. Hence Cookie is an apt translation of the name. "Chef Cookie in Gourmet World" is probably the best way to translate the Japanese title.

If memory serves this game was covered in the very first issue of Nintendo Power I ever received in the mail...I was always curious about the game, but never did get around to playing it.
Off to the side, the blurb about the US boxart made me laugh.

Finally read this article and enjoyed it, but there's a few typos present and I have a suggestion or two for it.
The typos:
not a lot of into on it - info a lot of fruits - fruit
I would add another comparison for the pot/frying pan weapon in the game that spins you around. They're somewhat different between versions and bears mentioning. Also the Japanese credits should get a shoutout. They're kinda silly actually and don't say Programmed by etc. and instead roughly say "The one who did blah blah..."

I feel like this article should mention Kenji Eno.
