Digital Cable through Component out putting at 720p
Gamecube XBOX though the same S-Video cable (though when I play with my XBOX I have to unplug the cube part of the cable or the picture comes in wierd not the case with my Cube having it on my XBOX provides no interference on that end)
an Oppo dv971 region code Free out putting at 720p through HDMI

I've got two AV setups.
Setup #1 involves my Samsung 23" LCD HDTV. My GameCube is hooked up via Composite, with the audio cables going into a switchbox. My PS2 is hooked up via Component video, with the audio cables going into the same switchbox. This switchbox goes into my Phillips Magnavox stereo's AUX input, to maximize sound quality (as my Samsung TV has awful speakers). Since my TV also has a VGA input, I also have my Pentium 166/Win95 machine hooked up to it, with a pair of headphones as the sound output. All of this is stationed on a computer desk with a keyboard tray. My consoles are next to the desk, on top of my dresser.
My second setup is where my "Main" computer is setup. The computer itself is a given. I use the computer as the base of operations as far as AV hookups are concerned. I use my Dell 1907FP LCD monitor for video, and two sets of cheap computer speakers for sound (4-speaker surround via Sound Blaster X-Fi). My monitor is also hooked up to my IBM Aptiva 486 computer, which outputs sound to my Main computer through the Line-In port.
My main computer has a Hauppauge WinTV USB2 hooked up to it, and a cheap Sony VCR connected to that. I use the VCR as an AV connection to my Sega Dreamcast. Visual quality leaves much to be desired, but it's playable and readable.
The audio cables are the one thing that I don't like about my setup...in order to get sound out of either the 486 or the Dreamcast, I have to unhook the cable from one system and plug in the other one. It's also quite messy, as the only place to plug the systems in at happens to be on the front panel of my computer (in the microphone port, of all places). It takes quite a bit of adjustment to get desirable volume out of either system.

I've got a 4:3 tube that appearantly can go up to a resolution of 1024x768. It's got composite and SCART, one each. Since I've only got one system and a laptop I don't have the need to make any special adjustments, but I expect that when I get a Wii, that'll change.

SCART has always interested me mainly because in the US it doesn't exist. HDMI from what I understand is supposed to replace SCART and it's a world wide standard while I guess SCART is Europe only? I don't know what HDTVs go for in europe but the LG CRT I have isn't too expensive and it's as good as any plasma in my case even better. this is assuming LG has a presance in Europe and I think they do.

There're two standards competing to become the universal standard for HDTV: DVI and HDMI. Anyway, a 15" LCD TV costs about 350 bucks here, and a 21" Tube costs about 200. I swear this is not a joke.

Sweet. and DVI and HDMI are compatable with each other if I'm not mistaken

I've got another AV setup as of today - rather cheap and silly, but it works. My new setup consists of a "Compact Disc to Cassette Player" adapter. It's actually intended to hook CD players up to car stereos by way of an adapter shaped like a cassette tape, but I've used it so far to play MP3's with my PSP, play Lumines on my stereo system, and Phoenix Wright in the car.

I've got two setups: an old 32" CRT TV hooked up to a 5.1 surround system, and a 13" TV with just mono sound. I just use the former for my more recent stuff (Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube) and the latter for my older systems (NES, SNES, Genesis, etc.). I have everything on the 32" hooked up with S-Video cables, and I use regular AV inputs on my smaller TV.
So, I'm a little envious of everyone else's setup, and I'm not prepared for next-gen stuff right now. I wouldn't have the money to get a better TV, anyway. Though I do like having surround sound, that's always been nice.
