Stick to these basics while posting in this thread:
- If you're posting about a game you've finished, be absolutely sure to use the spoiler tags to hide any details other people may not want to know. Please don't assume that it's common knowledge unless it's something so stupidly oversaturated as to rival Aeris' death scene. Even if the game's old, do everyone a favor and err on the side of caution.
- If you want specific information about a game, and there already exists a specific thread for that game, post in that thread instead, even if it's back a few pages. Someone may have already answered your question. If you're just looking to make a quick comment, post here.
- If you're playing a game, stick to the same spoiler rule as above, but do give your impressions of it. If you just bought something, show us a picture. This isn't required, of course.

I was wondering when this forum would cut down on the sheer number of sticky threads I'm currently playing Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on the PS3. I'm at Chapter 16; the chapters go by pretty quickly. They'd go by even faster if they weren't filled with mind-numbingly tedious combat though. I've heard the sequels improve on that, so I'm just pushing my way through the combat here so I can get to Uncharted 2. I'd rather not play the games out of order.

I'm currently playing Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. I'm on 343 Guilty Spark at the moment, and I'm kind of having a blast (and I'd forgotten how powerful the Pistol is - holy crap that thing drops Hunters fast).
While I like the Terminals that I'm finding, I'm kind of wondering if I'm missing on anything interesting with the Library Data as I don't have Kinect.

The combat in Uncharted 2 is pretty tedious and is easily the worst part of the game. I'd like to play Drake's Fortune at some point but considering how crappy the combat in Among Thieves was I'm hesitant to go back to the first game. I started playing Enslaved: Odyssey to the West yesterday and was enjoying it's similarities to the Uncharted games in regards to platforming. The combat in Enslaved isn't too crappy, but the camera seems to love being really close to the action which can make things a tad disorientating.

If you thought the combat in Uncharted 2 was boring, Drake's Fortune will make you slit your wrists.

A few times, I've almost relented and given Uncharted a shot, but posts like this and my own experience with the first InFamous make me glad I've yet to waste my time with them...
Anyway, finishing up my Hugo Fact run of Ys: Origin. Although, it seems I'm missing an upgrade for the achievement: I've got 67/105, and only two upgrades left to get with Hugo.

Just lost all of my progress in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. I had just finished a versus match with a friend and got a weird error stating that my storage device had been removed. This made no sense, as my HDD was in the same exact state it had been since the day it was bought. Now the game keeps freezing whenever I try to start the game, but not when I select the cloud as my storage device. All that time, all that effort, gone.
Ah, well.

Already posted these in the buying thread, but I finally got them hung up on the wall. Planning on putting the Shovel Knight poster to the left of these whenever they make the print available.

I beat Uncharted just now on Normal, with 31/60 treasures collected. The combat in this game really drags it down; it's cheaply difficult, repetitive, and clunky. It also unfortunately is what the majority of the game consists of. I liked the story though; it's very simple and standard, but the writing is pretty decent compared to many mainstream games. I like the characters, and am looking forward to seeing them again in the sequel. The exploration and platforming is nice, though a little too linear at times. It's a shame the game's balance is pretty much 85% combat, 15% other stuff. The " Resident Evil " sections of the game I actually liked though. It's kind of funny how much more like the older Resident Evil games they are than anything Capcom has made in years; right down to the piano keys in the background music.

I just beat Crash of the Titans (DS). Finished with all the crystals, about 9200 Mojo, and 20 gems out of 36.
Pretty good game, and it is quite fun, although a bit frustrating in places.
Definitely better than the other two on DS, though.

I started playing Duke Nukem Forever on Steam; this game is so fucking bad, seriously. The writing is horrible; almost every single line is forced, sounding like it was written by someone who discovered /b/ last week. The gameplay itself is very linear and awkward, feeling like a random mishmash of half-baked ideas with no flow or pacing. Which makes sense because that's pretty much what it is. If there's one positive thing I can say about it, it's that I still feel compelled to keep playing. It's so poorly conceived, I just have to see how much worse it can get This isn't a "so bad it's good" game though, unfortunately.
