Can Square Enix please give a port\remake of FF:Mystic Quest? I got tired of them milking FF7 dry.

It really is an uncanny resemblance. I'm quite impressed with FFVIIR. I wasn't expecting much, but it plays like something between Nier:Automata, Crisis Core, and FFXV. But there's a lot more love and detail put into this game compared to FF XV. The environments and character models are really impressive. Just the amount of detail to clothes, fabric, the patina and tarnish on Cloud's shoulder guard, etc. While I do miss the whole pre-rendered backdrops with clunky hit-detection, seeing whole whole buildings, especially the giant pizza in the sky that is the upper level of Midgar, really gives you a better sense of what the city is like. It kinds gives me a Gunnm/Battle Angel kind of mood.

Just the amount of detail to clothes That's something I also found really fascinating in Dragon Quest XI. That game clearly goes for a stylized look, but the costumes had so much detail. You could distinctly see what is wool, what is leather, the stitches were dented in and everything.

Finished up Donkey Kong Country 2 102%. I like the game but doesn't have the magic of the best Nintendo games.

Awoken the Tiddy Windfish and finished Ys VIII. Admittedly, the story got better in chapter 6 of 6 and the evolution thing was a nice twist on the usual re-occuring calamity story. The length of the adventure, while I do prefer the quick n dirty Ys games, does also make the ending resonate better. It's stilly mostly a Tales game with better music, though.

Did you get the best ending (reputation at 200+)? I didn't do anything particularly strenuous to get it. I made sure to do all the side quest and find all the castaways.

Apparently a freezer chest is considered a wardrobe in ACNH. Also sad that you can't ride in the teacup ride.

I didn't. I had everyone maxed out but the Shoebill. I just didn't feel like finding the fish I was missing to feed to him.
Nevermind, I thought that meant you needed everyone at full approval. I guess I did get the best ending, then.

Surprise X-Com game! Looks like they're going with more of a cyberpunk angle.

I guess I did get the best ending, then. The best ending route has The Abyss of Beginnings as the final dungeon if you're not sure. — Since everyone has FFVIIR fever, I figured this would be a good time to get back to finishing off all the Switch FF games with VIII. I just cannot get into to it ever, but the 3x speed up helps.

Apparently a freezer chest is considered a wardrobe in ACNH. Also sad that you can't ride in the teacup ride. I was a little surprised too to learn that basically anything you can store anything in IRL functions as a wardrobe. Early on in the game I found a fridge in a tree and just to see what it looked like I placed it outside on the ground. Pretty funny to access your wardrobe from a fridge in the middle of the woods. Would've been nice to have something similar to access your storage anywhere.

Dragon Quest Builders has the Colossal Coffer which gives constant access to storage, and everything is so much simpler once you build it in a chapter; DQB2 made this the standard behavior. I'd be happy with not needing to access storage to craft while inside your house. It's also so weird to me that you can't craft multiples of a single item at once. Really annoying to have to go through a pocket's worth of clams one by one to make a bunch of bait.

I would also like to be able to craft end-products right away. If my fishing rod breaks, and I have the 5 twigs and 1 Iron Nugget, just let me make the new one instead of having to craft and then upgrade the flimsy one.

Finished up Donkey Kong Country 2 102%. I like the game but doesn't have the magic of the best Nintendo games. Did you use a FAQ, or did you actually track everything down on your own? It seems quite unthinkable that someone could accomplish that for the first DKC, but then that is a rather different game.
