Hello, I'm the director of a new site www.8bitgamer.com and we are searching for comedic writers to join our team for our weekly webcomics that can be seen here: 8bitgamer.com/comic/The characters have received MANY compliments on them as we have taken pictures to gaming and anime conventions and received a very, very positive response. We would preferably like someone who would be as passionate on this project as us and someone who is dedicated, funny, can offer critique but also take it. A strong knowledge of games past, present and future is preferred. All your work will be credited in the comic and on the website. This is a great chance to have your name attached to something upcoming and build portfolio work. If you are interested please email me at aidyn@8bitgamer.com

Well, you do seem sincere in what you're asking, but I'm not sure that you'd have a lot of success with this forum, considering that you seem to have just registered to post this thread, and you have given us almost no information about your project to start with. Where are these characters, for example, that have received "nothing but praise" and are "very marketable"? Less importantly but still worth noting is who you've shown your work to previously. Who was delivering this praise? Who determined the marketability of your characters? (I suppose I should also be asking why you're using vgcats and ctrl+alt+del as your yardstick, too, considering I have met few people lately that seem to legitimately enjoy either...)But hey, don't let me put you off of your ambitions. It's good to dream, and all that. [edit] I forgot to mention: welcome to the forums, and we do have a Shameless Self-Promotion Thread in off-topic specifically for things like this if you're feeling particularly...well, shameless. =P

I suppose the determination of marketability and positive commentary is all in the eye of the beholder.
Also, the comics I listed were just a brief example of similar humor.
I apologize for posting this in the wrong forum. Would you mind moving this for me then?

Do you have pictures of what the characters might look like?

I can write, but only about hobos engaging in scatological acts. If you're interested, let me know.

My jokes are incredibly weird and obscure, and most of them are based around corny puns. For example: I can't tell if that makes me perfect for the position, or if I should be beaten with a rake.
