Here is another puzzling one: the title themes from Metroid (FDS) and Flash Gordon (C64). Both games were released around the same time and it is unlikely that Tanaka/Hubbard were aware of each others soundtracks. Metroid: Flash Gordon: I did a bit of research and, according to Rob Hubbard, this particular section of his theme is actually based on a track from the Flash Gordon movie score by Queen. Maybe that was the inspiration for Metroid as well? But then again, there are probably a lot of sci-fi movies with similar spacey themes. The Ring

Prehistorik's boss music is a blatant rip-off of "Gonna Fly Now", Rocky's theme:

acidonia: Unless my ears are deceiving me, the song in Fire Hawk immediately after the one you specified is Nuclear Mission Jam from Half-Life. Sounds like it though the loud sound effects you can not turn off and they is no soundtrack for the game outthere. Guess maybe the whole game is just music stolen from other places maybe possibly the sprites are too. It is a bit odd you can switch ships any time in game play by picking up a power up maybe the whole game is some weird bootleg hack. The game over Music in the Arcade Ninja Gaiden arcade Sprite hack Dragon Bowl is the one from Golden Axe but same game steals sound effects from Street Fighter 2.
