Well Shredder died today. Sorry, it's James Avery, but everyone keeps listing the story as Uncle Phil. And as he was the only Shredder anyone ever remembers... I'll always remember him as Emperor Fang from the one Fist of the North Star dub that actually mattered.

The url says he died age 21443107, which sounds more reasonable given the amount of movies he made in his life.

Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers Passed away at 74. www.cbc.ca/news/arts/phil-everly-of-the-everly-brothers-dies-at-74-1.2483880Needless to say, theirs probably isn't a style of music that a lot of us are all that close to. I do remember going on these long drives to visit my grandmother, and my dad playing "the good time oldies" on the radio, so songs like Wake Up Little Susie have a very specific memory for me.

That's sad to me (I love Shaw Brothers martial arts movies), but at the same time he did live a very long and productive life.

Thats too bad. I love that era of music. I grew up with the same as you, but as I got older I've really started to appreciate it more.

first time I shouted at my screen in 39 years. NO... Philip Seymour-Hoffman is dead.Fuck that. And I never shout. Guess I must love artists more than their creations, in the end. I invite each of you who only saw him in M:I3 to give the posted song a listen.

Oh. I'm confident this thread will be closed swiftly, then. Sorry I did not know about that thread at all. No problem, Colonel, since the moderator tools have a "merge thread" option that works just fine!

Yes, this is one of the few celebrity deaths that I really felt some emotions about. Phillip was such an amazing actor. A great void in the entertainment world has now been created, and so few can take that place.

This is going to sound insensitive but I'm just glad his kids didn't get into his shit and die.

I saw an article that said they found like 50 bags of heroin in his house. Sounds like he had a pretty serious smack habit.
